Outstanding Controller!!
As a Studio One user, I find that it helps tremendously with my workflow. While it may not have the scribble strips, all you need to do is to highlight a channel and scroll until you find the channel and you're there! Having the motorized faders makes a big difference when using the touch feature since I don't have to keep adjusting the fader like I did with the Korg nanoKONTROL. While it may not have all of the functionality that the Presonus controller has, you also spend half the money and for me, the Behringer does all that I need it to do and I would highly recommend this controller for anyone on a budget!

No Power Cord?
Bought this electronic controller used, and the package came with no power cord. Very disappointing when you can't even power up the product you purchased.

Great for the price
I’m using the Behringer XTouch Compact with Presonus Studio One v6. Standard functions like solo, mute, select, and record work fine. The faders sync nicely with Studio One. The only issue I'm having is mapping the knobs above the transport controls. I can’t get them to work with plug-ins in the DAW. However, this isn't a big issue. I still find it very useful, and the build quality is solid.

Buggy, poorly built
The manual has about 6 useable paragraphs of information, faders and knobs are at best loose, won’t connect half the time.Basically a badly built paperweight.Buy the Icon.

I was disappointed
I really wanted to like this controller. I was disappointed to find that there is no way to edit/reprogram the x-touch compact on the Mac. But I thought that it must work well with Logic Pro. That is a yes and no. It connect to Logic with no issues. But the use of the MC mode controller is so poorly documented I was having trouble deciphering what message where being sent. Issues I had included1. no way to adjust the eq beyond the first two bands. (I did find a way to adjust the amplitude for all of the bands but not the frequency or width of the bands.2. when adjusting bus and sends. there was no way to tell which bus you were setting the slot to.3. there was really no way I could rely on the x-touch to control the correct value without having the application to look at to see what you were adjusting and even then it was easier just to adjust the application on the computer. But my main complaint is that I wanted to use this as a controller for my Behringer x air 12 mixer through a MIDI channel. Without being able to change the controller values this was impossible. The default mini controls are sent across all channels so when adjusting the fader for the first input (which actually points to the fader 2 on the mixer) it would not only send the fader value but it would also send the MUTE signal. so when the fader reached the mid point it would mute the channel. If I could have change the MIDI message I would have been able to fix that but you need to have a WINDOWs computer for that.

Five Stars
Fantastic product, works as expected. The only limitation is the software you're using it with!
