First off, I use tools professionally. I work them hard, wear them out and replace them regularly. I normally use expensive name brand tools because they do tend to last longer and work better. I don't regularly use torx but I need to keep them around so I bought this set just to have on hand. I recently stumbled into a job where I used the t40 size to drive over 130 self-tapping screws into solid wood or steel with a pilot hole. I broke several of the screws along the way which tells you how hard I was using the bit. Normally a torx bit will start to break down under that sort of use. That's just the way it is.I expected to get about halfway through the job and have to switch bits but this one still looks near perfect. I didn't hesitate to buy them because I have a sheet metal nibbler from the same company that I put through some very hard use and it still works great. This company is not your typical no name Chinese crap that fails quickly.

Two problems I've had with my DIY screwing/drilling work were: 1) Being unable to hold a screw in place while trying to install it with a powered drill and 2) Having drill collar clearance problems in tight spots. These bits solved both of those. The magnetic bits allow me to keep the screw in place as I'm positioning the drill while holding the part being attached, especially when there is not enough room for my fingers to hold the screw. The longer shanks on the bits allowed me to feed the screws into tight places, but be able to keep the collar far enough back that it stayed out of the tight work area. The last job I used them on was installing brackets to hold blinds inside my windows. The brackets have a top to screw into and a bottom that holds the blind and has holes to go through for installing the screws. Regular screwdriver bits are too short, but these were the perfect length. Having the magnetic bits allowed me to free up one hand to hold the bracket in place. I can't speak to the durability yet, as I have not used them extensively, but so far, so good.. These bits helped me finish the job much faster and to keep my bad language in check.

I bought this set of bits to go with my recently purchased Metabo HPT electric screwdriver. The screwdriver is very nice, but it came with only one bit, a #2 Phillips. This set of 12 bits fills out the screwdriver kit nicely. It includes all of the most common sizes of Phillips and straight-slot screwdriver tips... (2 ea) #1, (4 ea) #2, and (2 ea) #3 Phillips; and (1 each) 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm straight-slot bits. These bits are all 3 inches long, a very convenient length if you find yourself dealing with recessed screws. The package tray the bits come in could be used for organized storage, but not very conveniently. I put my bits in a plastic pill bottle, which works just fine. I'm happy with my purchase.

I had to get in and clean the grinder of my Delonghi Magnifica S ECAM22.110.SB coffee machine. It had Torx security screws. The T-20 was a perfect fit.
