Very pretty book with mostly doable hair styles
I struggled with this before purchasing it. You can always find new hairstyles online even with how tos. I couldn't tell if I was wasting my money or not. While I'm still a bit on the fence, I don't think it was a waste. These styles are super neat and while not all of them are easy to do, especially on your own, a lot of them are. About half are easy to do yourself and the other half I'd either need extensive practice on or would need a second person to do. However, the pictures are really helpful as are the instructions. I didn't have any trouble following the instructions on the hairstyles I've tried so far. If you can french braid your own hair, you're miles ahead of me, which is really the biggest part I struggle with on my own.The reason I ultimately ended up buying the book is that I like having a physical format to reference while trying to do my hair. It's sleek and well designed. I can prop it up in order to read while doing my hair so I can follow the step by step instructions. I have a smart phone that I use extensively as well but sometimes the pictures are hard to read and when both hands are occupied, swiping left can be hard. I'm weirdly impatient with videos and just prefer being given step by step instructions. In any case, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend who likes to try new things with her hair.

Nice book
There are some good ideas and it’s nice to have a hard cover book to refer to. You can also find these hair styles on the internet.

Love this book. I have been a follower of missysue.com for a long time and was excited when I saw she put this book out. Could not wait to order it. Great hairstyles, easy to follow instructions, step by step pictures. Have nothing bad to say about this book at all. Way to go Melissa Cook!!

This was a great beginners' book for me
I have very long hair and know absolutely nothing about what to do with it. This was a great beginners' book for me.

Feminine is back
Gave this as a gift for my niece and she is now able to tackle braids in less than 10 minutes! Wonderful to give as a gift or keep as your own reference for that look of femininity and sophistication.

Only suitable for long thick hair
My hair is shoulder length and until this book I though quite thick. The styles just didn’t work my hair was too short and too thin
