My beagle is 33 months old (almost 3 years old) and has been struggling with allergies since I got him at 8 weeks old. I had tried everything, and finally had my vet send his blood out for an allergy test. We were shocked by how many food allergies he had, and only 4 kinds didn't have any of his allergies - the Salmon and Whitefish are 2 of them. Most places will say fish, but then add other protein by-products, making the name misleading and Open Farms does not do that. Their ingredient list is easy to read. For the first time in the time since he came to me, his mouth isn't bright red. He still has a couple environmental allergies, but my goodness I am so grateful to Open Farms for finally allowing me to feel like a good dog dad. I understand the price is a bit much when people first see it, but for me it has been worth it seeing my dog not scratch and cry constantly. My dog loves the food. It does smell like fish, but it does not make my dog smell like fish. My dog does try to fool me by using his buttons to ask for more food, pretending I forgot to feed him where he likes it that much! I highly recommend it, even if your dog does not suffer from allergies.

My dogs really like this dog food. They eat it up when we put it in their bowls. We feed them the recommended amount on the back of the bag, and they never act like they are hungry. I DECIDED TO MAKE A CHANGE FROM A PREMIUM DOG KIBBLE TO ANOTHER HIGHLY PREMIUM DOG FOOD CALLED "OPEN FARM" WHICH AFTER I READ ABOUT THIS PRODUCT I NEW IT WAS EVEN HEALTHIER THAN MY LAST CHOICE. BETTER MADE FOOD MEANS LESS VET BILLS & A HAPPIER FUR BABY. I DO NOT BUY GRAIN FREE ANY LONGER DUE TO UPDATED REPORTS. I LIKED THAT THE SALMON WAS NOT FARMED, IT IS WILD CAUGHT, THIS COMPANY SUPPORTS WILD CAUGHT LAWS & REGULATIONS. NIKKI HAS BEEN EATING THIS FOR A WEEKS, HE IS A PICKY EATER BUT HE DOES LIKE THIS FOOD SO FAR

I get this food for my dog every month it’s all he will eat it’s great quality and doesn’t smell bad my dog loves it

My dog did not like it. I heard so many good things about it but for some reason my dog didn’t get use to it. The quality looked amazing and it lasts a good time if your dog likes it. It’s also soft

When I first adopted my girl Bodhi, I was told by the adoption agency and my vet to keep her on Purina. Was told it was the most regulated of all brands. Bodhi was ok with it but I had to add boiled chicken, carrots, other ingredients to make her interested in the food. Then I started going fresh. She did well on the fresh but it turned into a car payment the older she got. Went back to Purina but then they had some problems with owners blaming the food for their dogs getting sick so I stopped immediately and went on the hunt for a dry food I felt comfortable feeding her. I went down the rabbit hole researching dog food brands. So here is my review of the Alaskan caught Salmon. First off, this is the first dry I do not have to add other ingredients to. Bodhi just downed it the second I put it in her bowl which is a first! Next feeding I just put a bowl down and she did it again! She loves the food on its own! She is not a food crazed dog so it was really something. Her first 💩 was exactly the same texture as when i had her on the very expensive fresh food which according to vets is the perfect consistency so another win! I’m still new to this brand, will update as time goes on. As a beginner I purchased two 4 pound bags just to see. She loves the salmon, turkey is yet to be determined but regardless I will purchase the large bag of salmon for sure! Very happy 😊 Well, eight/nine months have passed and I’m still very happy with Open Farm. Bodhi was not a fan of the Turkey. She ate and finished the small bag that I purchased to test flavors but I had to add a little encouragement in her bowl. The Venison however was a huge hit. I have to say the venison is pricier than the salmon but it’s nice to have another flavor that she enjoys so much to switch it up every now and again. Still really happy! 😊

Excellent quality food. My dog has seen improvement in energy and a healthy coat.

We have been using this Canadian brand of dog food now for about 2 years and find that our Bulldogs are doing great on it.

Wish they would make a bigger bag..the 22pounds just dosent cute it for 3 dogs
