Not worth the cost
So I love the design of these shoes, they are pretty narrow but were still comfortable, I usually wear women's 10 and that size was very comfortable with thick socks. However, the second day I wore them I noticed some spots on the crease on the top, where it naturally creases, I went to rub at them, licking my finger first, and I rubbed away the color. I was worried that if I continued it would turn even lighter. For how much these shoes cost, something like that should not be happening. The Top Upper is made with TU leather, and the rest leather according to the shoe. I've never been able to rub the finish off leather before, so IDK. I will update after a few more wears.

If you are willing to deal with the break in period, you might just fall in love with them
Ok, so I know there is a lot of debate about these shoes in the comments, so after a few months of owning these shoes, here is my experience:Full disclosure, I couldn't afford to buy these new. I fell in love with them when I saw them in an ad, but there was no way I could buy them new from Amazon or the official site, even if they were on sale. So, I went to ebay and found a pair that was basically new. (Once they arrived, they looked like they had been worn once, maybe twice, ever. The only noticeable difference in quality was that due to I'm assuming the way mine had been stored by their previous owner, the leather top and tongue on one of the shoes was bent and misshapen. No big deal; only since it's leather, it's VERY HARD to bend it back into shape. I didn't mind because I bought them used, but if I had paid full price for them and that happened, I would've been furious. So basically from the start, one shoe fit good, but the other was pretty uncomfortable because of the way the leather tongue rubbed the top of my foot. I honestly believe too, that in general the leather tongue is not a great idea in general, just because it crinkles easy when you tie the shoes, leaving you with uncomfortable ridges against the top of your foot. The leather is not even lined with any kind of fabric, so until you break these things in the the leather like permanently re-forms to your foot, you are probably going to have some discomfort. So, with that noted, I didn't give up on these shoes but was determined to break them in. At first I would wear them with 2 pairs of socks for comfort and to prevent blisters, which worked nicely. Honestly as soon as I started walking in them I didn't really notice any pain anymore, just the nice support and security they offered my feet. (I have plantar fasciitis and weak ankles which makes finding comfortable walking/hiking shoes a real challenge. After a few times wearing them walking and on hikes in the woods, I wore them with just one pair of socks. Now I can wear them all day, no problem. No blisters, and no crippling foot pain from the plantars, which let me tell you, is a miracle. They look great and they feel great. They are the most stylish shoes I've owned and I can wear them out on the town or in the woods. They are rugged and sexy. So in summary, if you are willing to deal with the break in period, you might just fall in love with them; but I still recommend getting them lightly used or on sale because I'm not sure if they are worth the sticker price. (But that may just be me being cheap, and frankly broke.)
