Puritan Medical 6" Sterile Standard Polyester Swab w/Plastic Handle - 25-806 2PD (Box of 200)

Excellent product and more reasonably priced than many other plastic shaft 6 inch Qtips. Perfect for packing deep tracks in wounds since they can't leave wood splinters in the wound. Tip seems securely attached even though I rarely use that end inside the wound. Arrived quickly and well packaged. I'm very pleased and will order again when needed.

They work better than expected. I had been using wooden handle but they often broke and one broke off deep in wound. The plastic handles have ample stiffness for pushing gauze into deep wounds.

They are of good quality; just not good for what I need.

I was worried about ordering these because some reviewers reported they received cotton swabs rather than polyester. I can report that mine were clearly marked as polyester on both the outer box and the individual wrappings. There are two swabs in each wrapper and 100 wrapped pairs, for 200 total swabs. The shafts are hollow plastic. They bend a little but are fairly stiff.

I ordered polyesters tipped swans and received cotton. And seeing as these are more expensive than the cotton ones I will be returning them and I cannot even use them for the purpose that I need them for. Fail all the way around. Edited: 7/28 requested a replacement and received the EXACT same product. These are NOT polyester tipped, they’re cotton.

I use it for wound care and to apply cream so I do not cross contaminate the container-Use a new one each application -
