Nice burgers with a good divot
This is a very simple tool, and it works. Couple of tips: 1. If you find the patties sticking in the top, spray the top with cooking release spray (like Pam). I've had one batch of beef that stuck, the others didn't. No idea why. They were all labeled with the same fat content. 2. Rock the lid back and forth and bunch to evenly spread out the patty. Do this by grabbing it like you're a Canadian eating a burger (ie, with your fingers on the bottom and your thumbs on the top) and alternating which side you are squeezing while rotating it around a bit. Don't use the handle on the top for this. Then, apply even pressure at the end via the handle to get a uniform thickness burger.

Makes the perfect patty.
I like to buy ground beef in bulk and prepare burger patties for the freezer. I like to make half pound burgers and I like for them to all be equal in size. First, I use a scale and roll up a half pound ball of ground beef. Then I place the ball on the half pound side of the press and...perfection. It's so easy. It even adds a small indention to the top half of the patty to keep it from bubbling up in the middle when cooking. The press is strong thick plastic that cleans easy in the sink or dishwasher. It makes 1/2 and 1/4 pound patties. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Great press, but I really wish it had 1/3lb on it
I picked up this burger press after seeing it on Chuds BBQ’s YouTube channel. It is sturdy and works very well. It is quickest and cleanest when you put down a sheet of patty paper, add your ball of meat, top with another sheet of patty paper, and then press. Otherwise, meat gets stuck in the press. The only downside I feel is that they should replace the 1/4lb with a 1/3lb. I only make 1/4 lb patties when I’m doing smash burgers…but I typically don’t use a press for that.

It's okay.
It's okay. You'll need to spray it or the patties will eventually start sticking in it and you'll have to dig them out and start over. If the intent of the "dimple" on the underside of the lid is to add that impression on the patty so it doesn't shrink during cooking, then you'll need to go ahead and increase the size of the dimple with your hands. It's just way too small. I do 1/3lb patties, and with this your choices are 1/4lb or 1/2lb so just use the 1/4lb side and it won't smash down all the way before the meat reaches the rim, so your patties may be a little uneven. Not sure how they could have resolved that b/c I think 1/3lb patties are pretty popular, and maybe 1/4lb patties. But 1/2lb? Who knows. Again, it's okay.

Hated it.
It makes the patties too large in diameter. You need a scale to weigh the meat first, otherwise if you cram it with meat and push down - (which requires A LOT of pressure if it's full) - it produces a burger that is way too big for 1/4 lb. 1/2 lb is of course even bigger. It's like a cake, it's so big. I'm used to making patties quickly with my hands. This thing slows me down. The wax paper has to be cut to size and can only be re-used 2 or 3 times before it gets too sticky and you need to cut some more. I do not recommend this. I am considering sending it back but will wait for a digital scale to come in the mail. I appreciate that it can make patties the same height. This is hugely important for grilling. But if the meat quantities are different the height is different. You need a scale. (But if I have a scale I can form the patties myself much faster). Probably a mistake buying this as it really just slowed me down and used more meat than I needed. I could have made about 8-9 patties using my hands from a big packet of meat, but instead this gave me about 5. The removable knob is annoying because it comes loose when you're pushing down to form the pattie. I don't quite understand the purpose of the knob coming off. There are no instructions with this product so read the reviews to learn how to use it.

Kwaliteit is goed, echter gebruiksgemak is minder. Lastig om je burgers eruit te krijgen. Ook is het formaat best groot waardoor je 200 gram gehakt moet gebruiken voor een dikkere burger.

Inte vad jag tänkte mig, bättre göra smash burgare på fri hand.
