I can set up the tree myself
I love this tree stand. I picked it up years ago on a half price table. I can set up the tree by myself and easily step back to look, re-adjust and look again until it is perfect. Then lock it down and decorate. Looking for more for gifts.

Terrible!!!
This model swivel straight tree stand, XTS3, we bought at Home Depot. It was supposed to hold a 100 lb. tree under 10' and 4.75" diameter. Our weeny 8 foot tree, it didn't even pretend to hold. The plastic kept making stress clicking noises, the tree kept shifting dangerously even after locking the pedal. We will never use this tree stand again.

Not sturdy
We've suffered with this stand for years. It is not stable. Last year our tree fell over (again), breaking treasured ornaments.
