If it could boil water, the stovetop would be obsolete too!
I'm still learning how to use it, but I am enjoying getting to retire my toaster oven and microwave and regaining almost 3 feet of counterspace in the process. I toast bagels for breakfast. I heat up frozen chicken tenders for lunch. I even bought a 9 inch rotisserie basket (not supplied) specifically to make popcorn using one of the rotisserie settings on the machine and Voila! We have air fryer POPCORN for after dinner snack! Granted it takes a little longer to pop the kernels, but it works amazing. So far I did a week's worth of meals since it arrived.. Every day I am moving further away from using cups of oil to cook our meals when frying. We all agree it is a lot easier to cook. I have eliminated the clunky huge electric fry pan for frying cutlets, the frying pan on the stovetop for making french fries. No more frying 5 chicken cutlets in oil and then setting the next 5 to fry as the first ones get cold....I do all at once now with a spray of oil on each! Even the oven has not been used this past week as everything is being cooked in my Kalorik air fryer. I bake, broil and roast mostly and the food cooks so quickly! Entire meals and they come out great. Pork chops, baked sweet potatoes, fresh roasted asparagus spears, sausage and peppers, chicken cutlets, baked chicken, fried chicken, pork cutlets, hamburgers and french fries. I want to make a rotisserie roast beef next and then try out salmon steaks and even fried shrimp using this.I am so happy I finally decided to get an air fryer with a window! Must have a window so you can see how the food is doing. Clean up is so simple now too as the pans clean off easily hand washing. If you're on the fence, like I was for many years about purchasing an air fryer, let me assure you, you will not be disappointed with this one. 2 Thumbs Up Kalorik. I look forward to many years of use.

Versatile
I have had mine since 2020. I use it every day for baking, broiling and air frying. It has never failed me.

4 years still cooking great!!
size is great, you can literally shove a half sheet pan in it! big batches of food right in for cookin!love the doors, I always hated the bottom drop of a regular toastermany uses, oven toast, airfry, the defrost and reheat are SUPER convenient!! waaaay better than reheat or defrost in the microwave!!!!serious the airfryer is great. a big open rack. the fan is right on top, makes delish food right out of the bag (fries, butterfly shrimp etc)rotisserie is a HUGE bonusbuild quality seems pretty tight, it's lasted this long and no issues.some cons:its loud. I get the fan is loud but the buttons are way to loud, i just wanna make toast not signal a ship in the sea with beepsit's intuitive to use, but positive feedback form the interface could be improved. I can;t tell if the update to the timer is taking effect or not or do I have to hit another button, not a huge deal but could be smoother. The dial seems broken, a common "review" item. I know its not it's just how the dial is, wiggly. Makes peple think its busted when its not.the vent in the back needs some re-engineering. Its pointed right at your counter back wall. Sure they give min distance but even at that the wall gets screaming hot. I put a metal plate behind it and that helps but my counter is open to a door on the left side so that may not be applicable to others. I almost feel vent to the front would be over all better lol.the dehydrator is a joke. They know it, they have to . It was an after thought. If it were a real "feature" they wouldn't have restricted the timer to 90 mins at a time. No dehydrator dehydrates for an hour and a half at a time. You have to go back to it every 90 mins and add time. Potentially a dozen time. you wanna dry fruit by babysitting?? yea neither do i. stop marketing it as such and just make it a regular actual function with long distance timer settings possible. Seriously adding a dehydrator would add a great deal of value to this unit.Size. I mention a half sheet pan right in it. Yup. right in the regular slots for the racks. here's the thing, that's a coincidence it can at all, honestly I might have to grind the pans down at the rims to really make it work, right now it's a real hard push to get them in. Make it a feature. Just widen the inside literally a hair and you can say "Fits half sheet pans right inside!" I would have bought it on that alone, i use sheet pans all the time, love them they take serious abuse!!the automatic cooldown is too long. We end up holding the button many times to shut it off prematurely. The noise.

Cheaply made, but effective
I got this due to the "listed capabilities". I read many terror reviews, and many glorifying the unit. I saw it went on sale, so why not. This is my first air fryer. The first day I seared the unit, blasting it on air fry @ 500 degrees for 5 min or so per the instructions, and scrubbed the trays, basket, and accessories. They trays and baskets are super cheaply made, and to be safe, I cooked them another 5 minutes to make sure they were dry. Water was getting inside edges. The next day I put it to the test with steak. Got a ribeye, just over an inch thick. I followed the instructions for steak, and not the recipe. For some reason they are different. Preheat 5 minutes, 4 min for each side of the steak. As with many other reviews, steam did come from the unit. I took the photo in poor light not thinking, should have made a video. Also my entire place filled with smoke. How the smoke detectors didn't go off, I'm not sure. Had to turn the AC off and open windows. After it cooked, I sat it on the plate to rest, while I finished my side dishes. This was a good call. By the time my sides were ready a few minutes later, the entire plate was filled with streak juice, and had to use a second plate for everything else. I cut into the steak, and even more juices flowed out. It maybe the best tasting steak in my life. It's maybe only twice in my life a meal was so good I was more hungry after eating it was that good, and this was one of them. Haven't used the actual air fryer yet, perhaps I should have just bought a convection oven, but the French doors and presets are what sold me. The unit worked fine cooking. It's not orderless or smokeless (mind you the steak is set to the top rack at 500 degrees so..) and the racks and trays I don't expect to live long. I will update after using more features. Update: Its been 5 months. I don't use it often, but when I do use it, its easy. With the large windows, its easy to see when food is done, just push the light button. I started cooking steaks not on the top level, but one level down. Not only does it cut down on the smoke, but makes it easier to wipe down after with less splatter, just add a few minutes to the cooking time. I washed one of the trays a little too hard, and it bent out of shape. Unfortunately its in a way I can't just bend it back without risking destroying it, so .. still cheaply made particularly with the inserts. The unit itself has been solid and reliable for me at least. If there was replacement trays available, or a higher quality set you can buy, I would be happier. Is it worth the price? Depends on how much its on sale. Your paying for 3 things, size, number of presets, and looks. Its nice to throw a large steak in there, a small pizza, or a few slices or Elios pizza right from the freezer. The presets are handy if you are a newbie as I was for a ball park time. I find myself now using that just as a reference, and adjusting accordingly. Yes, it is shiny, and the glass french doors are a nice touch. If you are looking at this unit, this manufacture has another model that is near identical with a metal searing base for steak lines. Otherwise its pretty much the same.

One of our best pandemic purchases, even with its flaws, it is amazing!
I promised myself if it lasted 6 months I would write a 5 star review and if it lasted less than 6 months I would write a 3 star review (less review). The thing is; the doors don't close completely due to what looks like bad fit and finish, one of the trays is a little too big - keeping the doors open even more. Had it not been for the pandemic I would have probably returned it without even plugging it in, but... we are so happy with how it works, how it cooks and the results. It has lasted 9 months to date with little sign that it won’t go for several years or more. This is my first air-fryer, but it completely checks the boxes of being able to make fries, onion rings, chicken wings the best. So good that fast food fries directly from the take out window taste sad and soggy compared to the crisp clean fries I get from this thing. That’s no exaggeration; after about 6 months with no fast food and cooking all meals at home due to some issue in 2020 I finally had my first big Mac and fries and the big Mac was ok and the fries just seemed soggy. I went back a week later and found similar results. I think I just expect more from fires now.I bought the largest air fryer I could find, for the rotisserie and it checks that box (it has flaws, more about that below). But the three hidden gems are, cheese toast, hot dogs / sausages and reheating bread from the refrigerator. It cooks these three things so much better than any other device that it is worth having just for those three things.So... I'm writing a five star review for a contraption that has flaws. You want to know the flaws and decide for yourself if it is worth your money. That’s why you are reading this super long review:1. The selector dial is super sloppy (I saw this in other reviews and I am reiterating they used a super cheap part for the dial). I waited over 6 months to write this review as I assumed it would break and I did not want to write a good review for a piece of junk. It has not broken and it has not gotten worse. I therefore concluded it is not a piece of junk, just a flowed device.2. It gets very hot and moves a lot of air. Hey, that is why you are looking at this one in the first place.! But the sides get too hot for me to put it near a wall and it blows so much hot air out the top back area I did not feel it was safe to run it under a cabinet. As a side note, much of the casing is cool to the touch, but some of it does get hot. My concern was trapping hot air. With nothing to cool my walls and 15 minutes of hot air, I was worried. I thought it would heat up the shelf above and with hot air rising and this thing producing a lot of hot air I worried it would damage the paint or even catch the kitchen on fire. I ended up moving it to an island location with nothing above it.3. The doors are very sloppy and do not really close all the way. Like the dial this is an unforced error that could be avoided by better build quality. But... this thing moves a lot of air and has louvers to draw air into it. The gaps on the front just contribute to the louver area and therefore do not detract from its actual function. Also, like the dial issue, I wanted to wait before writing this review to see if the door hardware would get worse. It did not.4. Two of the trays came with dents and the protective coating was damaged. This annoyed me, but not as much as the fact that one of the trays (the drip tray / baking tray) also does not completely fit inside the oven. It holds the doors open. How this sort of oversight is even possible is just really odd. I know from reviews other people have received ones with poor workmanship and many received them with no issues. I have to overlook this issue because I like the rest of what this does. You may feel otherwise.5. The loud beeping. It beeps, you will notice the beeping.6. The rotisserie setup has two design annoyances. The spit has a square end instead of a pointy end. good luck getting it to go through a chicken. I have a rotisserie rod from a broken machine that I use to pre-drill my food because this one is just too blunt. The end caps are tricky to get onto the spit. They hold very well, but these two flaws make the rotisserie process cumbersome.7. One more item of note regarding the rotisserie, unless you perfectly balance your chicken and tie it up really well, this machine does not fit a large frying chicken and only a small one will fit using the drip tray. Some tinfoil magic will need to be done at the bottom otherwise you will have chicken schmaltz leaking out the bottom of the machine. This happened once and it was not so fun to clean up. On the plus side, the rotisserie is strong enough to move unbalanced food and has good controls for stopping and reversing and the oven light works well to see inside. As I said at the top, this is my first air fryer so I don't really know if it is the best one or the worst one. It is a vegetable monster making tasty (and healthy) side dishes really easy, it does the frying thing super well and with the glass front lets you really dial in the browning on things like chicken wings. For making things like cheese toast or garlic bread this thing is just perfect. On the rotisserie I have done a tri-tip roast, a turkey breast and many chickens. For quick indulgence, this thing will cook a tray of fries directly from a frozen bag, a hot dog and then warm a hot-dog bun when placed in the last minute all at once. That's a whole meal with every item being cooked better than any other method I have ever used. Did I mention how well it cooks cheese toast?I begrudgingly give this thing five stars and would willingly pay about 50% more for one that has a build quality of a high end appliance and real stainless steel. And that is the story, I find the $199 a good value for this product as it sits today. We have purchased a number of cooking items and gadgets over the last year just to keep the mailman employed and to balance our own sanity. This thing gets used nearly every day for some task or another and deserves a good review despite itself.

Read everything before using.
I absolutely love the quality it is energy efficient to the max. The controls are easy to use as long as you read. The manual first. The versatility on this thing is amazing, you can make anything. I thought it was going to be too big.But after I received it, if fit nicely in the corner of my countertop. The safety? Just please be careful because it's true. What they say, you will get burned if you do not let it cool down before putting it back in the corner, or wherever you are going to be storing it. The quality of it is wonderful. As I said, before using this oven, be sure to read every single instruction given. Like, don't just take it out of the box and use it. You must prepare it. It says you have to turn it up to I believe 500°, set the timer for 20 min., and LEAVE IT ALONE until it shuts itself off. In other words, I guess it's PRIMING the oven before usage of the oven. The chicken wings did not come out as crispy when it was on air fryer. Cooked a second batch on the wings button, & the second batch was much better, crispier. It takes some time & patience before you really learn how to use it. I personally got frustrated. I went on youtube to look up this specific air fryer & it was extremely helpful. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND NOT BURN YOURSELF. THIS IS VERY VERY HOT. When using, make sure it is out in the open & not tucked away in a corner. I like the way that EVERYTHING is stored neatly inside the oven. BE SURE TO CLEAN INSIDE & OUT AFTER EVERY USE. It could get very dirty & greasy. If you do not clean it. It's best to clean after every single use. A big tip? YOUTUBE. Others share their recipes & such. Have fun with your new oven.

Defective out of the box
I purchased this Kalorik Air-Fry Oven on Prime Day. Got it a few days later and unpacked it right away. Tried to do the “burn off” and the unit started heating up. Within 3-4 minutes, it started beeping and flashing and stopped heating. It tried to start up again, but within seconds was beeping and flashing. This repeated several times until it gave up and just left the fan running for the rest of the countdown timer, beeping and flashing every minute or so. I tried different settings - same result. I tried unplugging it to reset - same result. I tried a different electric outlet (both test fine) - same result.I contacted Amazon for an exchange and found that the two options available to me were return or tech support through either Amazon or the manufacturer. I tried tech support through Amazon, but was told they could only return it because they didn’t have any more in stock - even though I could order one and have it the next day according to the website.I contacted the manufacturer (The Legacy Companies have taken on/over Kalorik), who said I needed to go through Amazon. When I told them Amazon would only return and that I wasn’t likely to buy a new one since I only bought it because of the Prime Day deal, they said they would do a warranty replacement. I provided the information they needed and cut the cord at the base and provided the picture. I was given a warranty claim number, a replacement order number, and was told it would ship in 5-7 days and take 7-14 days to ship. I contacted The Legacy Companies nine days later for a status and was provided a tracking number. Nine days ago a “label was created “ and has gone nowhere since. It’s been two weeks and still nothing is on its way. I’ve since looked up The Legacy Companies on the BBB and found their rating is an “F”.

Air frying perfection at last
I tried a lot of air fryers over the years and to be honest many have failed at some aspect or another on cooking performance. I was looking for a new air fryer that had the ability to cook quickly and also the ability to sear a good steak. Making healthy quick meals is important for my busy lifestyle. My friend told me about the MAXX air fryer oven that he saw on TV. I did my research online and was happy to see that it claims it could cook a steak 37% faster than the average air fryer oven, amongst other recipes and very fast cooking times. The website claims it has a large capacity of 26 quarts, has 21 presets which seemed to be a lot compared to others, and also came with 9 accessories which is a lot more than all the others (including a searing steak tray and rotisserie). It also comes with a handy cookbook. Overall, it looked like very good value for an air fryer oven with a lot of features.I received the package from Amazon within few days. The MAXX air fryer oven came in very good condition, was about the size expected for a larger capacity air fryer oven, and the unit looks great! It has a full stainless steel front with digital display, and nice double front doors.I followed the instructions in preparation of using the machine to prepare my dinner. I decided to make a ribeye steak seared and finished with butter, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. I also wanted to make sweet potato fries, dusted with salt pepper and garlic powder (with minimal oil). I finished the meal with a salad on the side.Step one: The unit is very easy to understand and operate… The instructions were clear.Step two: I prepared the sweet potatoes and chop them to create sweet potato fries homestyle. The generous size of the air frying basket allowed me to make three large sweet potatoes in one go, in only 15 minutes! This sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly. I did add about a tablespoon of oil to coat the fries.Step 3: I took two relatively large ribeye steaks (my favourite cut), seasoned with a touch of oil, salt, and pepper. I preheat the air fryer oven for five minutes per the instructions, and cooked the steak five minutes on each side since I like my steaks medium (4 minutes on each side is medium rare per their instructions). Embarrassingly, I did freeze the steaks to prepare for the worst case scenario as a result of the Covid crisis (back up food). I did not have a chance to buy fresh steaks as I usually get home from work late. I did defrost them slightly but the air fryer oven was able to still cook the steaks extremely well even when slightly frozen! The steaks did smoke quite a bit, but I am used to that as I do a lot of grilling and searing steaks is going to create smoke. I had my air fryer near my stove fan for ventilation. In total: That is 15 minutes for the potatoes, 10 minutes for the steaks, and 5 minutes of preheat time. At most I took 5 minutes of prep time before cooking.... 25-30 minutes total time for a great meal.I am extremely pleased with the performance of the MAXX air fryer oven. It cooks extremely fast, was surprised at how evenly it cooks the food without drying it out, and very happy with the overall performance. I made enough food for two generous size meals + in less than 30 minutes. I’m excited to try more recipes with all of the various accessories and presets. Lastly, cleanup of the unit is a breeze. The enamel coating was very easy to clean after cooking with the steaks.I recommend this purchase, it performs, saves you time, and from what I can see, is very good value compared to others in the market.

Really Happy With Kalorik Max Air Fryer
Had the Kalorik Max for a week now. Really like it.. Attractive addition to our kitchen. Easy to use. Easy to clean (even when doing a rotisserie chicken) The fan is on the top and blows down so anygrease that splatters doesn't touch the top of the oven. Side and bottom of the oven clean easily withmild soap and water.. At counter level it is very easy to check temperature of meat you are cooking.. At counter level it is very easy to remove food when complete.. Light allows you to see food cooking without opening the oven door.. Gives us a second oven in our kitchen. Very light and easy move.So far we have air fry french fries, baked potatoes, vegetables and rotisserie chicken. Very happy with the results.I'm going to address a few of the negative reviews that I read and concerned me.1. Some say plastic piece on the support legs under the oven are a fire hazard.No. They are made of resin and have a high flame point. I touch them during cooking and they are barely warm.2. Some say the round knob is wobbly and cheap. The knob has two functions. It turns to select a cooking option and pushes to select a timer / temperature option. It is designed to be flexible.3. Some say it can burn you if the door close while checking food. You need to follow the manufacturer directions. The inside of the doors are very hot so wear oven mitts as directed by the instructions. Also if you open the doors fully they won't close on you. You need to hear them click in place when you open them.4. Some say it burns your food.It won't burn your food if you follow the recipe. If you using a recipe for a conventional oven, then cut the time in half when cooking in the Kalorik Max.5. Some say the plug going into the electric outlet is a fire hazard.No. It is sturdy and safe and meets Canadian standards.6. Some say the trays that come with the oven don't fit in the oven properly. All the trays and attachments fit nicely into the oven. Rotisserie fits great and tool to remove hot rotisserie food works great. One thing I did was buy a silicon baking sheet for the unit to sit on. I did a generic google search and they suggest this for ALL air fryers. It protects your counter tops from potential damage over time. I don't really think it is needed because when I touch under the oven during operation it is not that hot. But I purchased it anyway. The cost was minor.

Best Purchase!
This kalorik air fryer is beyond amazing!! It is truly a versatile kitchen appliance. We purchased this a few weeks ago, and since it’s arrived we haven’t turned on our kitchen oven. If I was going to purchase an air-fryer I wanted it to be something we could get great use of. The fact that you can cook a 14 pound Turkey sold me. The dinner options are endless, so many great meals in less time and easy cleanup. After each use, I hand wash whatever basket or tray was used. The inside of the air fryer is very easy to wipe with hot soapy water. As for some of the reviews complaining about condensation, yes there will be a small amount depending on what you’re making. But it’s not a lot at all. This air fryer has a permanent spot on our kitchen counter. Highly recommend if you’re considering buying this one. I did a lot of research and this was by far an outstanding option. I also like that multiple meal sides can be cooked simultaneously. Like pork chops, potatoes and veggies. Not to mention it’s a much healthier option. The rotisserie function makes finger licking good chicken lol. I hope you enjoy this appliance as much as my husband and I have.

Fair price, some technical room for improvement.
Here it is straight: I received this unit 6 days ago.Pros:1. capacity. I like the overall height and size. I baked a 2.5lb ham, and it was delicious! You could likely bake up to a 7lb ham successfully.2. Heats quickly (does not produce much external heat)3. Crispy air fry4. Powerful fan5. Other than some “beeping” sounds it produces when making selections, it runs quietly.6. Easy to use7. Has several shelving levels8. Basically a secondary oven / warmer in the house. (Really great for the holidays)9. Price point10. Timer = auto shut off11. Loud alert - 2 beep timer end.Middle of the road:1. The suggested cook times are not accurate - they are guidelines (you’ll need to consider the variables of what you are cooking ... ie. a fatty steak, a thin crust pizza vs. Regular crust, do you like cracker toast or a light toast - example: the toast preset is 5 mins ... this is a hard toast) you do need to turn the tray, my bacon burned on one side - like any oven, there’s a learning curve.Cons:1. It is a bit flimsy, the buttons feel flimsy. Doesn’t have a sturdy feel. (With that said, the international baking trays are sturdy / nice quality).2. The French doors can pop shut on you. They’ll stay open if you mindfully fully extend one, but you should be aware.3. It can build up humidity, and it DOES drip on the counter (IMO, design flaw, the manufacturer should have fixed this before release.)4. Day 6, the humidity (I assume) from cooking has rubbed the word ‘stop’ off the start/stop button label? That’s pretty crappy, it’s not even a week old.5. Brand: whose heard of Kalorik?Overall: My family has decided they like the unit. We like the capacity, the speedy cook, the ease of use and we’ve already figured out many of our favourite items cooking times (a continued work in progress). I air fried tenders made from 4 chicken breasts in one shot! (2 lbs of chicken). The small ham I baked was succulent, and the Korean pork belly also fried beautifully. I have yet to try the rotisserie. The counter does get wet - but not it’s not a puddle. I think it’s silly that I would need to relabel the buttons myself, but after shopping around for a better made, but comparable in size unit... I just can’t find one. I’d like the Breville 900BSS, but it should be amazing (it’s more than 3x the price of this one). So, with that, I think we’ll stick with the Kalorik
