This is very soft so it is comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. I have already re-ordered twice and will order more when I run out. If you’re making masks, I promise it’s perfect and just in case you’re using pony beads for custom fit straps, the regular size ones fit just fine and are easy to feed.

The Elastic arrived as a large lasso making it easy to cut/use. The material is similar to the soft round fabric type elastic used in hospital issue masks but it’s flat, and although the description says 1/4”, it’s more like 3/8. Washability is still to be determined.I attached a pic of the actual one received, the black is a true 1/4” elastic and I included the 1/8” round for your comparison.Rating was dropped a star because of the width discrepancy.

This is the perfect elastic for home sewn masks. Much softer and more comfortable than regular elastic. And best yet it does not make my ears stick out! I just ordered another pack

This is not elastic that is braided. It is a knit string that is elastic, i.e. stretchy. Great for masks. Yes, not as strong as braided elastic, but for masks, it is probably better because it is softer. It is about 1/4 when flattened but less in its normal shape.The pictures show exactly what you get. I suspect those who are disappointed did not look too closely.

I purchased this elastic to use for making straps on masks (like most people, I’m sure). Previously, I tried using a flat 1/8” elastic, but it wasn’t comfortable, felt flimsy, and didn’t stretch well (or far); it felt like it was going to break.I’ve been impressed with this elastic, and here’s why:*super comfortable: it’s very soft and has nice round edges that reduce irritation (it’s a tubular knit)*very stretchy: it stretches pretty far and returns back to its normal length.*durable (so far): its been getting regular use and is performing the same as day 1*Quality feel: it feels well made and sturdy (doesn’t feel like it will break).* easy to work with: it cuts well; the ends don’t fray.Overall, I highly recommend this product and haven’t encountered any problems with it.

Good product, did not stretch it out to measure, Rough estimate is more than 23 yards.Be very careful when you take it out of the bag and gently untangle it. It's wound into a 12' diameter circular loop. If you are not careful, you could make a tangled mess.

Was not what I was expecting but definitely great quality with a great stretch. Has the look of a shoe lace but looks good. 25 yards not stretched and 154 yards stretched to its full. Definitely gonna be able to make lots of masks. Came nice in a zip lock with tear away packaging (picture shows how I gathered it, looked a lot nicer when I got it)

I was pleasantly surprised to find this is hollow centered and softer feeling than most elastic. Since I bought this for masks making I was happy with this product.
