This is a great entry-level fragrance for anybody getting into more classy scents. It's many steps above many of the fragrances I've experienced in my lifetime, like Axe body spray and even some colognes I've smelt on friends at parties. It starts off fresh and fun with that green apple and citrus burst at the beginning, and transitions into a smooth, warm, sweetness provided by the clove and cinnamon, along with the other notes. I have to emphasize just how smooth the sweetness is--it smells and, somehow, feels great in my nose. So smooth. It is a bit harsh for the first thirty minutes or so, so experiment with applying this one in different ways. I like to spray in front of me and walk into it, but a spray at arm's length also works.There's a reason this fragrance is highly rated by the Basenote community. It's a designer fragrance that competes at a level often found only in niche houses.That said, this is mostly a warm, friendly, easy to wear scent that's not likely to really wow anyone. You will get compliments and people will generally like the way you smell, but don't expect anybody to be floored.The product seems genuine, though it is a bit dark colored, which is a sign of counterfeiting with Boss Bottled. However, the fragrance lasts quite long and smells even better/stronger than what I remember from applying the tester of Boss Bottled from a Nordstrom's, so I can't complain. I did look up batch number for my bottle and I was shocked to see it was from 2009. I keep this fragrance in its box, on a cool shelf in my room, to slow down any degradation. But really, it seems to be fine even though this batch is already 4 years old.Would recommend this scent for people looking for an easy to wear, almost blind-buy-able, warm, friendly, but also fresh and fun, fragrance that will introduce you to the world of designer and niche fragrances.
