Works great! Love the Bluetooth option-this makes my life much easier. Saves me a ton of time. Comes with easy to read instructions and easy to setup connection to phone.

Perfect tool. Just wish it was rechargeable. It has also fallen to the ground twice, and I have to chase the batteries around. That’s user errror though.

Worked great for the price. So much cheaper than wireless probes. It seemed to be accurate in that it matched the exact temperature of my instant-read thermometer. Only thing that was kind of weird/unexpected is that it requires the app to use. It does not function as a standalone device. I had originally thought that the app would just be a feature for monitoring remotely, but I probably didn't read through the description thoroughly.

Update: Govee reached out to me about the problems I was having with this. They had me run some tests and after some back and forth they sent me a new unit. The new unit and probes are within a couple of degrees of the expected values in ice and boiling water. Great customer service to reach out and make sure the issues I was having were resolved! The app is great and I haven't had any connectivity issues. This allows you to smoke and monitor the temperature from your phone. With the configurable alarms, I'll get alerts at set temperatures which is super convenient. I can now highly recommend this thermometer and Govee customer support! Initial review: Great in so many ways other than providing an accurate temperature. In a cold water bath, it reads 50 degrees. In boiling water, it reads 245 degrees. Disappointing, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to calibrate this unit.

5/5 stars for the Govee Bluetooth Meat Thermometer. This thermometer honestly exceeded my expectations for the price and has become one of my favorite accessories for smoking and grilling. Mine came with two probes and batteries included which was a nice bonus since it was basically ready to use right out of the box. One of the biggest pros is the design of the main unit itself. It has a built-in speaker, hanging hook, and kickstand which makes it easy to place wherever you need it while cooking. The display is also very easy to read at a glance and clearly shows both the current temperature and the target temperature you have set, which makes monitoring cooks much simpler. You can set target temperatures and the unit will alert you once the meat reaches the desired temp which is really convenient during longer cooks. The probes also seem accurate from my experience and the stainless steel braided cables feel durable enough to handle smokers, grills, ovens, air fryers, and pretty much anything else without worrying about damaging the wires from heat. The cables are also a decent length at around 16 inches long, which gives you plenty of flexibility when positioning the probes in larger smokers or grills. Overall it feels very versatile and useful for many different cooking applications beyond just smoking meat. What really sold me on this thermometer though was the Bluetooth app. A lot of other smart thermometers with apps and extra features cost an arm and a leg, but I picked this one up on sale for around $18 if I remember correctly. For that price it honestly feels like a steal. The app itself is simple and easy to use and it even comes with preset temperatures for different meats which is helpful if you are newer to cooking or smoking. The only real con I have noticed is that sometimes the app takes a little bit to refresh and update the meat temperatures again. It is not instant all the time, but honestly for the price I can live with that. Being able to sit inside the house and still monitor my smoker temperatures from my phone is incredibly convenient and makes longer cooks much easier to manage. Overall I think this thermometer is absolutely worth the money. Even at full price I would still buy it again. For anyone looking for a reliable Bluetooth meat thermometer without spending a fortune, I would definitely recommend the Govee.

12/26/25 Updated: Govee's customer service is excellent. They quickly contacted me to offer a full refund. This is good customer service and I greatly appreciate it. I upgraded the rating based solely upon customer service. I cannot give this a low enough rating to express my thoughts about the product. I tested the thermometer at room temperature. Both probes worked and it was off by only a couple of degrees. The meal I was going to use it for got postponed and I forgot to use it in another meal. When I did finally get around to using it there was nothing but problems. After placing it in the oven, 1/2 hour into cooking one of the probes quit working. So I moved the 2nd probe to the more critical region of the turkey. I set a warning for 150DegF. My wife said she needed to use the oven so I thought I would finish the turkey in my smoker. When I pulled the turkey out of the oven it looked quite well cooked. I put a regular thermometer in the turkey. While the Govee probe said 145DegF, my thermometer read 180DegF. When I pulled the turkey out of the pan to stop the cooking and made a cut in the breast it was very obvious the white meat was over cooked, dry and tough. Unfortunately the 30 day window has expired, so I cannot return this item.

Works well and keeps the precise temperature. Easy to wash and store away.
