Finally an air filter that actually fits my furncae! No more 1 inch filters that cause a lot of noise. I have not heard my hvac click on since using this filter. Highly recommend!

My house was built in 2000 and has an Aprilaire Media Cleaner installed as part of the HVAC system. Normally that would not be too much of an issue, but it uses 20x25x4 filter which is not an incredibly common size and Aprilaire has discontinued this system and filter size. To make matters worse, it's a nominal 4" width instead of actual, and most 4" filters that you can buy in the store (like ones from Filtrete) have an actual width of 4 5/16". That means that they won't fit into the filter slot in my system.I found these on Amazon being advertised as replacements for the Media Cleaner 2120 filters and decided to try them. I was pleasantly surprised to find that while these are nominal 3.5" they have an actual width of 3.75" which means that they fit perfectly into my HVAC system. They were also cheaper than the Filtrete filter I had bought elsewhere to see if it would fit. I would not hesitate to buy these again.

I purchased two boxes of two double packs (2 boxes of 4) so that I would have one for the upstairs unit, one for the basement unit. The easier the access, the better I’ll be about changing them was my line of thinking. Long after the return window has closed, I realize that each box has one crushed filter! Completely useless, and of course, the last filters out of the 8 I purchased, so now I’m late in replacing them.I should have opened the boxes completely and checked each filter, but I didn’t, so who is to blame? I certainly know who pays for the mistake.
