The GoPro HERO8 Black Camera Mountable Media Mod is a must-have for my setup. It's definitely a 5-star experience.One cool thing about this mod is that it can handle a bunch of accessories at once. Attaching my GoPro light and DJI transmitter to this mod was a piece of cake, and it's made a huge difference in my filming abilities. Plus, the TRS to TRS cable connection works perfectly, making it even more useful.You can count on this mod to hold up with its solid build quality. It's tough as nails, but simple to attach to the camera. Plus, you can charge the camera while it's in the mod, so no worries about running out of battery during long shoots.This mod also has a sweet built-in microphone. It's a lifesaver when my go-to DJI mic dies or doesn't work well. Having audio backup makes me more confident in getting quality footage.In a nutshell, the GoPro HERO8 Black Camera Mountable Media Mod is an amazing accessory that takes my filming to the next level. The fact that it can hold tons of accessories, is built like a tank, easy to use, and has a built-in mic, make it totally worth it. I'm totally looking forward to putting more of these mods in my kit. Sometimes, the little things matter most. This mod is sick, look at it.

This is well worth it.. I have it set up on my bike so I can charge the battery and also use an external microphone.. good sound quality... wish they made one for the GoPro 7I tried the GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter and when i plugger the external microphone in I lost the audio...

I absolutely love how versatile it is and how much I can do with it. I ended up returning it because I didn't really need it. I did notice that the battery drained VERY QUICKLY with this attached. If you are into vlogging and had a Volta grip or something, it would probably be worth it, but I didn't have a significant use of it. The microphone wasn't as good as I was expecting too, but it was directional so that was a neat feature.

The GoPro hero 8 black, stopped working the second time I tried to use it so I never got a chance to try it with the camera. But seem like a very well built product and fit the camera well

I bought this because I tried watching my videos on my tv with no luck. GoPro doesn’t mention u need a media mod to play back your videos on tv, that’s how they get you🤦🏻‍♀️ so this obviously served its purpose and works great.

This returns the 3.5mm outlet to the hero 8, which is what I needed for my videos. I do motovlogs and this adds a little bit of bulk to my setup, but not so much that it makes it cumbersome. The audio quality is excellent, and I'm tempted to get a mini shotgun mic to plug into it in order to do other kinds of videos with my lil camera. Good stuff, truyly

Wind noise drastically reduced while riding and survived a pretty good fall while riding mountain bike when the gopro mount plastic tabs snapped and let the gopro/media mod go tumbling down the trail. No harm at all to either.

I really wish I could give a five-star rating. I really love the Media Mod. I use it for recording my motorcycle rides. I'm not a vlogger, but I love recording the music I'm listening two within my helmet. But there are a couple of things that really bug me about the Mod.First off, I really hate having to close the mounting flaps of the GoPro camera before removing the camera from the Mod. I miss having the mounting sections located on the outside any cases for the camera. Sure, the mounting flaps are convenient when using just the camera but keep the accessories with the mounting tabs built in, makes it way easier to install and remove the camera. Just leave the flaps up on the camera when inserting into a case or the Media Mod.The second thing I hate is that if I wish to transfer my videos from the camera to my PC via cable, I have to remove the camera from the Media Mod. The USB C port in the Mod is just for charging. How stupid is this!? Would have made much more sense to make the USB C port a simple passthrough for charging AND data transfer, then I wouldn't need to pull the camera out of the Mod! Now you see why I said what I said about the mounting flaps!Again, I really love the Media Mod, it's just those two things that grind my gears!I still recommend this media mod, especially if you're into recording your rides.
