Great saw and saved so much time. Does exactly what I wanted.

As delivered, out of the box the saw was a little out of square and needed a few minutes of reading the manual and adjusting set screws to get it perfect. I've used it to cut 2x2 and 2x4 timber as well as fence boards and laminate flooring without problems. Cuts are a little rough with some tear-out as the supplied blade is quite aggressive, but it's fine for framing work for sheds/fences etc. Quite loud in use and the laser is useless/invisible outside but will probably be fine once I've got it set up in the shed. Hold-down clamp is a bit hit and miss; there's a technique to using it otherwise the rear post rides up higher and higher in it's socket with each cut unless you back the clamp off properly after each cut. The dust bag does help with collecting sawdust, but it's a mitre saw so it's never going to be dust-free in use. Has a good solid base, which means it's also quite heavy and the sliding rails and bevel adjuster give it quite a large footprint for storage, but that's going to be the same with every sliding saw in this price-range.

Made the mistake of buying a cheap chop saw, then learned the lesson why you spend the money and buy one like this Excellent quality, been using and abusing it, nothing has broken and I'm still on the blade that came with it Highly recommend

Easy set up, easy to use, cuts great, well made, can't go wrong with this, if you moan about this, your doing it wrong.

Good Quality item for the money

I had hoped this might be a bargain buy (Black Friday) but as your head should tell you - if it looks too good to be true, it is! Worst is the design of the safety guard - it's held in place by just one self-tapping screw. It wobbles from side to side, and I can't understand how any reputable testing house would ever pass this as meeting CE / UKCA requirements (this me speaking as a product design engineer with 30 years experience). As others have said (should read the reviews first!) the basic design of it is poor and prone to failure. This might be ok on another product, but not a circular saw! The pointers showing where on the angle scales you are a plastic, held on with a single screw. You can move them by pressing on them with a finger - so that's your calibration gone The general build quality is just about ok, but the recirculating ball slides are rough and it just doesn't feel like it will last very long at all. Lastly, in the manual is says the motor is rated for a max 5 minute run time before it overheats! So you'll be waiting for it to cool back down.... just pants really.... Overall - AVOID and buy something else. I'm going to save my money towards a Makita unit, which I should have done in the first place

Das Wichtigste vorweg: Das Gerät sägt exakt und ist sehr leistungsstark! Für mich musste eine Kappsäge her, da auf meiner recht kleinen Tischkreissäge das Ablängen von Hölzern aufgrund schlechtem Queranschlag praktisch unmöglich ist und das Holz am Längsanschlag zu führen ist kippelig und dadurch gefährlich und auf jeden Fall zu vermeiden. Also, Entscheidung gefällt und nach einer passendes Kappsäge gesucht. Mein Preis-Sieger war eindeutig die TC-SM 2131/2 Dual von Einhell. Nach dem Erhalt fiel mir leider direkt auf, dass ein Hartmetall-Plättchen vom Sägeblatt herausgebrochen war, obwohl die Säge meiner Meinung nach originalverpackt war und noch nie in Betrieb war. Kurzerhand den Einhell-Service kontaktiert und direkt eine Antwort erhalten und ein neues Sägeblatt, nach Einsendung eines Fotos und der Rechnung. Danke nochmal für diesen schnellen Service. Als erstes habe ich mir Zeit genommen und mit einem Winkel den exakten 90° Winkel horizontal wie auch vertikal eingestellt, konkret den Anschlag justiert und die 0°-Neigung des Sägekopfes. Das hat einfach geklappt und wird mir nun durch 2 exakte 90° Winkel belohnt. Als zweites habe ich mich der Laserjustierung gewidmet, in der Anleitung wird das leider überhaupt nicht gezeigt, erst nach einem YouTube Video dachte ich zu wissen was zu tun ist. Leider wurde dass zu einem Geduldsspiel bei mir, da sich die Wirkung der Justierschrauben nicht so zeigte wie gedacht. Letztendlich habe ich es halbwegs geschaft das obere Ende des Laserstrahls auf die rechte Sägeblatt-Grenze auszurichten. Dazu einen Schnitt in einem 20cm breiten Brett lediglich an der Oberfläche eingeritzt und den Laserstarhl so ausgerichtet dass er genau an der rechten Sägenut-Kante verläuft. Rechts habe ich deswegen gewählt, da dort meine "Gutseite" des Holzes liegt und so erspare ich mir das Herausrechnen der Sägeblattbreite. Sollte ich mal ein anderes Sägeblatt verwenden muss ich den Laser zumindest noch einmal prüfen, selbst wenn die Sägeblattdicke identisch ist. Die ersten Sägetestes waren prompt erfolgreich auf Maß aber meine Ohren klingelten, da die Säge sehr laut ist. Wie schnell man sich doch wieder an den Gehörschutz erinnert der im Regal verstaubt... Insgesamt bin ich jetzt sehr zufrieden mit der Säge, der Laser muss zwar häufig von Sägespänen befreit werden aber ansonsten hat sich bisher nichts an meiner Einrichtung verstellt. Gute Arbeit Einhell!
