wide enough for my metal door
My condo walls here are thick acoustic damping concrete. Almost zero noise going into the next door unit. The doors to hallway are another story. 1 Inch tape is wide enough to seal around the metal door. Tips for other buyers, if you are afraid of cannot apply the tape 100% straight and paralleling with the door linder, you can cut the long tape into several segments to apply. This can also help you to avoid applying on the wrong place and re-do you job which may cause the tape no adhesion. The adhesive backing is neat and quality. I follow what the seller told to clean and dry the surface and press hard to seal tight. The result turns out to be great, opening and closing the door is not affected, so the thickness was right for me. I think it's the density helps because right after it seem to make a difference reducing noise. Thanks!

Foam insulation strip with strong adhesive
It is a good insulation strip. When I glued it to a wood frame after cleaning the frame with rubbing alcohol, it glued to the frame really well. But the foam is of high density and works only for gaps with a constant width. If the gap width is slightly narrower than the thickness of the foam strip, then the seal is the most effective. But I cannot use it between the door and frame, because the door would not close properly. So, it does not work for my application. It took some force to pull the foam strip off the frame, excellent adhesion. For any application, clean the area where you need to put the foam strip. Also make sure that the gaps have the constant width, approximately a little narrower than the thickness of the foam strip.

Not just for doors
As a starting point, what can be said about weather stripping that you don't already know. It has adhesive, it sticks to things, etc. Ok, so the package does have two rolls stacked onto of one another. At first I made the mistake of thinking I only received 1, but I got the 2 as advertised. I actually did did not use this on my door - I had other plans. My robot vacuum tends to bump into things including my cabinets and baseboards, I was looking for a solution to prevent this out of fear of scratching them in time. So with two strips of weather stripping placed on the front, he's off to the races. The striping seems to be adhering well and not leaving any marks. In time we'll see if it stays stuck to the plastic surface of my vacuum, but overall I'm very happy with it. One item to note, the middle has stuck fine, no issues; but the beginning and end of the pieces where I cut, those lifted within 24hrs for some reason. Easy to push back down and they seem to be sticking. We'll see in time if that stays true.

Not sticky enough for certain surfaces
Easy to install, I bought these as a way to reduce sound leak through the walls to the other rooms because there no full insulation. It was a thin wall placed adjacent to a concrete wall, so sound could travel to the other side in that small crack. The foam did well in reducing sound travel, but the adhesion did not last for over 15 days. This is wonderful for padding table corners, just not on concrete walls.

Great for insulating around portable a/c
I used this to insulate around the windows of two portable air conditioning unit exhaust vents. It's sticky, adheres well, and unrolls easily. It was really easy to install. Overall, the quality is good and it was a good value. I still have a whole roll left over that I can use for next year.

Great for HVAC filters
I use these to create a tighter fit for my HVAC filters. They work perfectly for the job.

Al little too thick
It was cool, a little too thick. Makes it harder to open and close the doors all the way. And I have to use superglue on the adhesive side to make them stay on the wall.
