Great Training Baseballs - for backyard hitting or neighborhood game of baseball for kids.
Perfect for practicing hitting the baseball. If pitcher gets hit with ball - it does not hurt. Trust me I have been hit many times practicing with my child. Also good for neighborhood baseball games - again kids don't get hurt by the baseball. I remember my sister loosing a tooth in a neighborhood game with a regular baseball. Of course these are used in the machine but we don't have the machine so I don't know if their performance with that. I assume well since structure is sound. My son can send these balls almost as far as a regular baseball. Oh the bright yellow color is perfect for fetching the balls after hitting - easy to locate! I will say the plastic seems to be a little lesser quality than the ones I bought a year ago. It seems they got a cheaper mixture... they seem slighter thinner walled and don't hit as far as the ones I got a year ago. The older ones are amazing! Same brand. I purchased the old one at Academy, but I haven't been able to find any lately so bought these online with Amazon - not sure if that made the quality difference? The price was the same. They are expensive!

Just Right.
We've been searching for the perfect back yard baseball now that most of the kids can hit & pitch way too hard for hardball. We tried the T-Ball type stitched baseballs, the heavier foam balls, and various tennis type balls. These are the best by far. They go a bit farther than the low bounce training tennis balls, but are much easier to throw due to having more weight. The really pop off the bat too but given their softness make the pitchers (that would be us adults) feel much more comfortable. I'm sure taking one in the face wouldn't feel too good but I'm sure you'd be able to just shake it off. They also seem pretty sturdy as we haven't split or cracked one yet. Would definitely buy more if and when needed.

Great for advanced young players
I know these balls are meant for the Juggs Pitching Machine however they are also great for everyday use. They are harder than a Nerf ball but softer than a hardball which is great for playing in the backyard or for kids that may not be ready to catch a hardball. My 11 year old plays in a league but still uses these balls everyday to practice. They have saved a few windows from being broken.

Great practice balls for Young kids
I have a 5 year old I wanted to introduce baseball to. Although regular baseballs, would be the idea way to practice, I was trying to build his confidence first. So this a great substitute to have him catch and throw. I can throw the ball at him, without worrying about clunking his noggin. It is also lighter so, he throws the ball more accurately. I would just use it to build confidence. You would definitely want to use a regular ball once they can catch and throw more consistently to mimic real game situations.

Excellent practice balls but why so expensive?
Like many other things in life, I'm constantly on the look out for a high quality dupe, however, have not yet been able to find one for the Jugs Lite balls. We have the pitching machine that these balls are recommended to use with and of course, they work great. Accuracy, color, weight are all excellent but I question why they are so expensive? Also, we live in a rural setting and naturally these balls get dirty quite quickly however, I have not been able to sufficiently clean them to where they look "clean," they just constantly look dirty. When my kids outgrow these I want them to look nicer for resale as they were so expensive.

Durable, perfect for drills
The jug balls do not disappoint. Very durable and perfect for indoor garage hitting and fielding for all ages.

Great practice balls
These balls work really well with the Lite Flite pitching machine in our backyard. They are have enough weight and are hard enough to use for almost any drill. They do seem to travel fairly well though. I was a bit concerned that they would be nerf-like or like a soft sponge. They are a harder foam and the baseball weighs just over 2 ounces(a 9" wiffle weighs about one ounce for comparison). My 6 year old likes them alot. The first time one hit is leg he said, "They don't even hurt!".

These balls are fantastic!
Pros: Very durable. They have a good feel but don't expect the heft/weight of a regular baseball. As a result the flight path is not the same as a real baseball but I don't think that's a huge concern for their purpose. Their purpose in my mind is to get the kids good practice without getting hurt. They don't have stitched seems which really adds to the durability. They take the abuse of hitting just fine and are priced reasonably. Cons: They smell like chemicals out of the box so I'd wash your hands after initial use.

Bought the 4th dozen today. Great quality, have not deteriorated after a year or constant being hitting every few days. Great value. Need at least 3 dozen. 4 will make it really easy without having to stop and re fill bag when using the Lite Flyte pitching machine. We also use them in the garage winter time, off the T in replace of wiffle poly balls - for a little harder and stronger sound on the garage door (no damage or dents though). Can also be used for catching with very young players to instill confidence.

muy buenas bolas de beisbol, ideal para niños, funcionan bien en máquinas de pitcheo, pero son lentas, algunas veces las quitan de existencias, pero solo es esperar para volver a comprar

Great product! I run baseball for over 200 players (ages 5-7). Excellent for teaching young players how to catch as it eliminates the fear of getting hit with the ball. We used tennis balls, foam blastballs, level 1's, etc. in the past and while they are also useful for certain drills, the lite flites are the favorite among both players and coaches for this age group. We always keep a few in the baseball bag.
