It works fine except for one thing when you first start moving ...
It came on time, the shipper said it was coming FedEx but came ups freight OK. It works fine except for one thing when you first start moving or change direction , it's a little jerky. My old chair is a pride jazzy and it's smooth as silk always. But at 1/2 the price I'll live with it.

Great Product - Life changer
Life changer - Although I have only been using this product for a short time, it's already making such a positive impact on the day to day task I have to get done as an active individual with mobility challenges.Never having used a chair of this type before, I did my research and for the money, this was by far the best deal. There are several sellers of this chair on Amazon - I opted to go with Top Mobility as I had read good things about them during my research and their rating here on Amazon is top notch.Let's talk about shipping, delivery, setup and overall use.-Shipping - The day after I ordered the chair, I received an email from Top Mobility saying they needed to confirm all of my information before the chair could be shipped. I responded to the email with my information and also called to confirm they had my information correct. I only mention this because you will need to be on the lookout for a confirmation email from the provider and confirm all pertinent information as failure to do so may cause shipping delays. The next day I received a call from Top Mobility saying that unfortunately the chair was on back order and that it wouldn't ship for another week. However, there seems to have been some miscommunication between the warehouse and the store, because the chair ended up arriving the day before Top Mobility said it was due to ship. A minor hiccup in communication, but overall my interaction with Top Mobility was great - I will buy from them again in the future!Delivery - I received a call a couple of days before the chair was to be delivered from UPS Freight to set up a date and time for delivery. The important thing to note here is that everything is together in one box, which is very big and very heavy (300lbs) The gentleman from UPS was nice enough to bring it into my entryway, but that was as far as he could go with it -I believe their normal policy is to not enter homes. if you are the one with limited mobility ordering for yourself, I would recommend having someone there at the time of delivery to help get the chair into your home.Setup - As mentioned above, the box is very heavy, so there is no way an individual can open the box from the top and lift the power chair up and out of the box. The way I unpacked it was according to the instructions on top of the box. I opened the top of the box, then cut down one side of the box [making sure not to cut any part of the chair] so the side would fold down. Once the side was folded down, I put the chair in freewheel mode and backed it out of the box.The chair comes 95% assembled, but you will have to attach the footrest, headrest, controller (joystick) and fold the back of the seat up into a sitting position. the back of the seat is adjustable much in the same way the back of a car seat is adjusted - there is a lever on the lower back right-hand side of the seat. To raise the seat into a sitting position, pull this lever up then the seat can be raised. One thing that is important to note here - you will need a wrench and/or socket wrench as well as a allen wrench to attach the footrest - these tools ARE NOT included; however, a basic tool kit can be picked up just about anywhere these days that will include these items. One other thing to note, the manual was in the seat, but I didn't see it until I was almost done assembling because the backrest was folded down. I would recommend folding the seat up after unboxing so you can review the manual before assembly :) Took me a little less than an hour to get everything setup, but I was being very careful as I didn't want to mess anything up, will probably take most of you less time.Overall Use: Keep in mind this is my first chair, so I don't have anything to compare it too. That said, I know good quality equipment when I see it because of my years buying crutches, crutch tips, etc. Those of us who have a disability can tell you not all medical equipment is created equally. I weigh around 260lbs and I can tell you this chair feels really solid. Because of weakness in my legs, I tend to "sit down hard" which can be hard on furniture, chairs etc. I can tell you this chair is able to bare my full weight without issue. again really solid - feels like it is built to last. The joystick is easy to use so the chair is easy to control. The chair does feel a bit jurkey when starting a turn from a stopped position, but I don't really consider this bothersome at all. I only mention this because I have read that some chairs tend to be smoother than others. The ride in the chair is very good - I always feel stable and secure. The final thing I would like to mention - I managed to get stuck my second day out using the chair. The manual warns against using the chair on soft ground, like grass after a rain. Well, I drove into soft damp grass not realizing it had just rained and got the chair stuck - had to be put in freewheel mode and get pushed back to the sidewalk by a friend. So...the moral of the story - stick to the sidewalks and you will be fine. Thanks for taking the time to read and I hope this information is helpful.Take care,James
