CMT 836.501.11 5-Piece Chamfer Bit Set in Carrying Case, 1/2-Inch Shank, Carbide-Tipped

This is the first time I ever purchased router bits from CMT and I will be buying again. I usually buy from MLCS and Freud, but this kit can't be beat. The cut quality is superb on red oak and the walnut it was used on. There were no burn marks and the tear out was barely noticeable on end grain. Having this many angles in one kit really let me be more creative on a current cabinet that I was doing in walnut. On top of it, the case it comes with is great for storage and for transporting them to the jobsite.

This set is great for making furniture. I really like being able to put a chamfer on things that is not always a 45. The CMT bits I've had so far have all been great (including an extra 45 degree bit).

I normally don't stray too far from my favored red bits. I felt I got a pretty good price on this set so was willing to give them a try. I won't hesitate to purchase CMT in the future.

I just put 300 board feet of mahogany through the 15 degree and it is still not burning a thing.
