A great story about a truly great rider
Alan Peck, himself a motorcycle racer of some repute, knew Bill and had access to a great deal of original material. Backed up by meticulous research, this book is full of all the facts on Bill's life and career which was cut short so tragically. When allied with insightful anecdotes and a clear understanding of the politics of motorcycle racing at the time and in particular the duel between Ivy and Phil Read for the 1967 250cc World Championship then this makes for a fascinating read.
