I HAVE TO SAY THIS IS ONE HELL OF A KUKRI--BETTER THAN ANY ONE OTHER BRAND----I GOT IT FOR MY LADY AND SHE WAS INTIMIDATED BY IT AND UNABLE TO WIELD IT PROPERLY --FOR ME IT WAS INCREDIBLE AND A LIFETIME TOOL/ WEAPON, I DO NOT WANT TO PUT THIS KUKRI DOWN--IT IS AN ABSOLUTE BADASS, WITH A BADASS SHEATH---GET ONE AND YOU WILL SEE--A LITTLE PRICEY BUT AN INVESTMENT FOR SURE---THIS IS THE BEST ONE AVAILABLE TO US ON AMAZON---I ASSURE YOU

Excellent balance. Significant heft. Cuts well. It really feels good in the hand. The sheath securely holds the blade. It offers positive reinforcement that the blade is locked in place when properly stowed. The design of the knife makes its use in batoning ideal. The spine is nice and wide. It sharpens well with a  Wicked Edge Knife Sharpener - With Quartz Stone Base .Be sure to keep it clean and lightly oiled. Mine was prone to rust with significant use.

had since 2014, easy to sharpen. holds on edge very well. beat the hell out of this knife for years n years still have it in my boat for when I need to go ashore and clear brush. outstanding knife.

WOW!!! This knife is the best of the best! AWASOM ! I've bought several Kukri knifes. This one comes sharp! balanced, heavy, comfortable in the hand, 1/4" 01 High Carbon Steel at the spine. Sheath is designed to fit both the knife and loose on most any belts, (including the military web belts)! (Cold Steel Gurkha "Plus", adds the finger guard.). Finger guard is awesome... Knife built with quality in mind! If you don't have one, you loose...

The "blade" - it is the "cutting surface" and the length of this surface is 11 1/4. The surface roughness, quality of steel and sharpening (for a knife made in Taiwan!) Could be much better (a cording the price!). Otherwise, very good kukri.

Best kukri so far and I've had many. Well balanced and has a comfortable grippy handle with no hot spots. Tempered, heat treated 01 tool steel's the best for this kind of blade.(1095 & W2 also, but you can't have everything) Thick (5/15") and heavy blade does most of the work with its downward angle and forward weight. It's the best all around camp survival military knife btw, the guard's purpose is to protect your fingers when thrusting.

Initial quality is superb. Will likely update when done testing blade durability and kraton handle longevity. Sometimes people have trouble with cold steel. I haven't had any poor experiences with them personally, generally what I've read is that their more expensive knives or swords tend to be better.Update: The blade is tough and holds an edge. The 01 tool steel is one of my most liked knife metals. This kukri has good fit and finish. One thing to note is that kraton can be weakened over time by solvents and petroleum based products. This may or may not affect you. I recommend ballistol or froglube.

I am a collector, but a user first. The knife itself is much lighter than your standard Americanized (thick ASF) Kuk. It is very lively and this is what I needed in an all-in-one knife.

What does this enable me to be ready for? Pretty much everything.Thicc, heavy, and quality steel blade. Comes sharp enough to make me concerned about other people holding it.It's classic cold steel quality in every regard, poured into one badass, multipurpose blade.You guys could ease up on the grease though! My sheath and kukuri were oozing with the stuff. Pulling out this knife smells like walking into an autonomy shop. I understand the purpose it serves but just ease it up a little.

A little heavy for backpacking but for car camping it's an all in one! Chopping, slicing, feathering, batoning, amazing. Razor sharp from the box.

Super heavy carbon steel blade, nice handle, nice sheath, keep it oiled up and will serve for many years. not faithfull reproduction of the original, but very close.

Beautiful, rock-solid knife. Very sharp out of the box and it works like a dream.
