Child or toddler size?

I ordered a size medium for my 8-year old daughter who is tall (was around 54" last Christmas) and it fit perfectly.

Yes, it is machine washable but I put it on cold and gentle cycle. It is such a great costume!!!

my daughter is 10 and wears size 14, but very thin so will an xlarge be too big?

I don’t think a Xlarge will be to big for your daughter. Because of the time period of the costume, you want it to fit in length. If the rest of the dress is a bit large on her it will still drape nicely and it has the waist tie which will help to make it look fitted. If your daughter is narrow through the shoulders this could be problematic in the neck line of the dress being to wide. However, tall girls even when very thin have broader shoulders, so this mostly likely will not be a problem. Good luck, the costume itself is lovely.

So cute and loved the quality

My daughter was Mary for a school event and this was perfect! I purchased a size S for my 4-year-old and overall it fit great except it was a bit long for her but it was an easy fix! Loved the material and how easily the look came together once on!

A great costume for the money.

I was very impressed with this costume. We needed it for an All Saints' Day mass at my child's school. I was worried about the quality of it, but It is very nicely made and looks amazing. I did buy the next size up, she normally wears a 7/8 and I got a 10/12 and it fits great.

Glorious Costume

What a beautiful costume for Halloween,a Christmas play or just role play in general. It is the most silky fabric in the WORLD! It does not grow fuzz balls on it at all. I’ve had it since October 1st and not one fuzz ball. The fabric is not too thin and not cheap at all! Great costume

Great costume.

This costume is of very good quality. You can even roll it up a bit if too long by adjusting the waist and tying it with the ribbon. My 6 year old daughter loved it and it will fit her again next year.
