Kanu Surf Men's Solid Rashguard UPF 50+ Swim Shirt

Got this rash guard so that I could still go swimming in my pool without freaking anyone out. Freaking out you say? Yeah just came out of colorectal cancer surgery and am left with a permanent colostomy bag. This rash guard is just the right size to keep my bag covered and close to the body while swimming. I am not going to let cancer stop me from living.UPDATE: Two years later and it's still as neon orange as the day I first received it. And BTW, still cancer free Praise God!

After reading many reviews and how they said it fits right or to small, I got nervous and second guessed on what size to even order for my husband. I even cancelled the first order as I thought I should order a size up. So, here are my thoughts on this shirt.1. My husband wears a medium shirt and is 5"7 and 175 lbs.2. I think everyone's body is different as to how a item would fit.3. The shirt fit perfect, but not snug as a lot of people talk about and how it should.4. Shirt on the sleeves fit like a normal polo shirt would look, it was a little loose around the arms. The main body fit good just not snug.5. Quality is nice and wash up nicely6. Haven't tested it in the sun yet as we got it for a vacation trip.7. Will try to update review after trip.

I don't often give 1-star reviews on Amazon, but I found that this shirt did absolutely nothing to protect against the sun. I purchased two of these, a black and white one, before going on vacation to South Florida. Being cursed by fair, Irish skin, I liberally apply sunscreen to prevent sunburns. I figured I'd give this shirt a try because I always miss spots and it's annoying to constantly re-apply sunscreen. Well, after a day in and out of the sun, mostly sitting in shade, but swimming for a good portion of the day, I got an awful burn on my chest and shoulders, and ended up getting a sort of 'reverse farmer's burn,' that is to say, my shoulders, chest, and back -- every location covered by this shirt -- got burned, while my lower arms, legs, neck, face, etc., were protected by sunscreen.Uploading a photo. Carefully note how I only got burned where I had a shirt on ...For me, I'd say this shirt is worthless. It would seem that a regular t-shirt provides better protection than this shirt. Hell, based on my sunburn pattern, it would seem like wearing no shirt at all and just using regular sunscreen would provide better protection.

Hubby is 6', 215 lbs and wears an XL t-shirt. This fits perfectly but for a swim shirt it is a bit big. He should have bought a Large but he seems to like it. I don't think it will be "too" baggy when wet but I personally prefer more form fitting when swimming. If you prefer more form fitting too then and you are these measurements you'll probably want a Large.

The shirt provided good protection from the sun and worked as expected while partaking in water activities. The fit was a little weird, though. I don't know if it is how the sleeves are cut but it kind of felt like I had it on backwards, WHICH, I did not! I checked multiple times and even had my wife verify I wasn't any more of an idiot than usual.

This is a nice, stylish swim shirt, and something I've been meaning to buy for quite some time. I love that it comes in a variety of colors, so you can pick what matches your swimsuit. I normally wear a medium shirt, so I purchased a medium, and it fits a little big. A little smaller would probably be nice, but it'll work. I'd order a small next time, but I'm afraid the small would be too small. Also, if you have a hairy chest, it will show the hair outlines right through the shirt -- just FYI.

The dolman sleeves were a bit binding/pinching through the shoulder seams on a slightly overweight male who usually wears a M tee shirt. This shirt was ordered in a size L to ensure ease of movement and comfort. It is being returned and we are looking for a different sun shirt with traditional inset sleeves (versus dolman seams from neck through underarms.)Note that the dolman type of sleeves are common in the tight fitting rashguard shirts, so the discomfort in the shirt is most likely a problem for our wearer versus the manufacturer.

Zero stars to be honest. The item I received does not come close to being what I ordered. I received a package from China with a cheap 100% cotton blue T-shirt. I have included pictures of what I received and the label of a real KANU shirt for comparison. My original review was rejected, hmmmm.
