in summary: initially I was disappointed in these boots when they first arrived but am soooo glad that I kept them! I would recommend sizing a 1/2 size down. I will see what this brand has to offer in other styles.here is the story: I purchased these boots for a trip to London In October, couple days sight seeing and a couple day’s of work. I needed something comfortable, as I would be doing a fair about of walking, wanted a heel for some style but not too high, and needed something water resistant, as it would likely be raining, and cool. Was so happy they offered This boot in a wide width, so ordered my normal 6.5 size in a wide width. I was excited and had high expectations. The boots arrived quickly, arrived in good packaging and in good condition (not swished) But I was a little disappointed. It’s a very basic looking boot, a little more casual than I was hoping for, and there isn’t much traction on the rubber sole. whe I tried them on they were too big for me ...grrr... and the the orthotic wasnt at all comfortable. Not much arch support, almost flat, a bit hard, and felt like two railroad tracks under each of my feet. I was disappointed and wanted to return them but didn’t have anything else that was water-resistant to wear on my trip and no time to get anything else, especially in a wide-width, before I left. So I took the boots along with some thick wool socks. To my surprise after doing many miles of walking each day the boots were very comfortable (no rubbing/hot spots what so ever, in these brand new shoes) It took a few days to used to the “rails” on the insoles, and my feet stayed warm, dry and comfortable! Unfortunately, after a week the the color started to wear off on the heel a little.These are my to-go-to shoe when I have lots of walking to do! I choose these over my walking sneakers!

Purchased these as I have heard great things about Vionic shoes. These are extremely comfortable, supportive and true to size. I am super glad that I purchased these and will be buying more from this brand.

I was worried about buying this boot because of the reviews on the arch support being in the wrong spot.I think when people say the arch support is in the wrong place, is because it's support for your metacasal. On mine the hump is right behind the the ball of the foot. This is where you would place a metacasal pad.It is hot here so I have only wore them inside to get used to them.I do like them, they seem pretty comfortable, the fit is good a bit wide. However, I have thin feet.I am looking forward to wearing them for longer periods of time to really test them out.

I'm a huge fan of Vioniv, can't beat the comfort and quality, but I hesitated at first to buy this boot because I thought it would be a bit too "chunky" for me. So glad that I did, they are are right on trend when worn with cuffed jeans. Love the fabric insert for a some detail. Wore these out of the box to an event where I was standing for hours and didn't feel a thing. I dont have a single complaint, would definitely recommend!

I have knee issues so I was looking forward to a cute shoe that could help with my issues. I liked the arch support. The footbed support was flat. I expected it to be soft like sketchers with more a more prominent arch support, it wasn’t. The ankle area was loose. If you were a super think sock it might work better. I wear my booties with tights so it was too loose for me.

LOVE these boots. Super comfortable; my fairly wide size 10 foot had plenty of room for my toes, and ankle openings were just right. One thing I will say is that, compared to the advert picture that makes the boot look more taupe or with some brown in the gray, the boots are a true gray color (in a really nice, soft brushed leather) and color of the wool inset is true-to-picture. I know the color is listed as “charcoal gray,” but I expected a brown-tinted gray, based on picture. Including pics to show the difference in-person. Either way, it’s a beautiful color! The heel has a nice finish of back and brown pinstripes... A really great boot, and Amazon’s price was 1/4 of the price I almost paid for the same boots elsewhere!!

I have had several pairs of Vionic shoes, boots, and flip-flops and these are just not Vionic quality. Either Vionic has gone down hill, or these are knock offs.The boots fit well with no issues initially, but when I wore them the very first time the back hoop broke off - I barely touched it and did not use it to put on the boots, and it still broke because it was sewn on with literally 3 stitches!There is also no arch support in these. As someone with very high arches, which is how I came to find Vionic a few years ago, these are completely, utterly FLAT inside. They are difficult to walk in. They are pretty cute, and I will wear them for a few hours here and there, but they are not something I can wear all day or do an extensive walking in.

These boots are simple and lovely, and go with basically anything. I wear mostly vionics and have always admired them for their commitment to style for women that want orthopedic shoes. The sole of these is just as supportive to the arch as other vionics and I am super pleased with that.That said I gave it 4/5 because the toe box of this boot is a hint tight and does rub on the outside edge of the foot. If you are on your feet for long periods of time, or if you go on a longer walk in these, it can become uncomfortable. I have worn these a decent number of times and that remains true.However they are very durable! For all the wears I have gotten out of these, the outside and the sole look like new. And I really really love the gray panel that looks like a fake sock. It insulates a bit and makes the boot warmer.Overall, I really enjoy these :)

Although I ordered a half size bigger than usual as advised, these boots were most uncomfortable and too small

Boots are super cute, slightly elevated casual look. Vionics are known for comfort. I truthfully don't find these quite as comfortable as some of their other shoes that I have, but I think once they break in and the nubuck softens, they will be. I ordered a half size smaller than I would have normally and it seems ok......may not be able to wear thick socks with them, but I generally never do anyways......
