Do you have to caulk/glue to wand lip to attach

You have to heat the glide till it can flex. some ppl will put it in a bucket of hot water for a few minutes water temp 150 to 200. or an oven. after you fit it on the wand its best to use plumbers glue or auto marine adhesive. let it dry for a day or 2 and its good to go.
