Useful, poor documentation, some issues
You have to dig around a bit to find documentation online, and it's pretty bad. But, for accessing a serial port over your network, generally works. If you want to use it via a virtual port, you do need to install the virtual port software. It's on the USIOT site along with the poor documentation. It also has a number of configuration commands that can only be issued from its serial side using the ancient AT format. But, useless if you don't have a serial terminal to plug into it. Dumb. All in all, it will work for what I need, just a but painfully. If you're using telnet, took me hours of fiddling around to get it to really work. The two critical settings to use in your telnet client are: 1) use passive negotiation, and 2) be sure your return key sends return, not the Telnet new line char. If you use putty, set these on the connection/telnet page. Otherwise, you will get junk chars, etc.
