Steve Clayton HeckPicks (Pack of 12)

These picks are quite good but I have two issues with them. Firstly, I think that the hex-shaped hole should be further back from the pointed end of the pick. Where it is situated (exactly in the middle of the pick) may suit some people but for me it feels a little bit awkward and does not provide the extra grip I was hoping for. Secondly, I have tried this pick out on a few guitars and on all of them there was the same result - a rather harsh and 'clacky' tone, very noticeable on the treble strings. This may be down to the strings I use or the way I play or the material from which these picks are made. However, I don't experience this issue with my usual picks so draw your own conclusions. Overall these are good quality picks, well made, a good price and delivered quickly by Cheshire Guitars but ultimately they are, for me personally, a bit disappointing.
