Is there nutmeg and cinnamon in this blend?

This product does not have any nutmeg and cinnamon, but it does contain allspice - which has been characterized by having flavors of nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves.

Is this the same stuff they used to offer in the mccormick marinade packets but dicontinued?

Hi Kathy, A different formulation from the seasoning packet and different from the Perfect Pinch Caribbean Jerk seasoning. Below are two recipe suggestion for our McCormick Culinary Caribbean Jerk Seasoning. ~ Erica CARIBBEAN PORK CHOPS Sprinkle 1 tbsp. Seasoning evenly over both sides of 4 bone-in pork chops (1/2-inch thick). Heat 1 tbsp. oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add pork chops; cook 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Makes 4 servings. JAMMIN’ JERK CHICKEN Mix 1 tbsp. each Seasoning and orange juice, and 1 tsp. Onion Powder. Rub on 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves. Broil or grill over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes per side or until cooked through. Makes 4 servings.

Absolutely, Really good jerk Chicken Tasty!!

Is this product really as good as advertised?

I think the McCormick Caribbean Jerk Seasoning is really good. It provides flavors that are similar to real jerk flavors. However, it does not, I repeat, It DOES NOT have the same kick as real genuine jerk cooked foods. I use this seasoning very liberally, and usually add a bit of cayenne to kick the spiciness up a bit. Most people seem to like it, although some think i kick up the spice a bit too much.

Tasty jerk spice

This adds a nice jerk taste to whatever you’re making, I made shrimp and while i’ve had authentic jerk shrimp, and while in my opinion freshly made spiced are always tastier this was still extremely tasty and close enough for me at home when i’m in the mood for that tasty jerk flavor, been using this brand a long time, good quality, the spices have a little kick but not too hot, just enough for flavor, reasonable price and size sold me and was definitely worth it and will be using again.
