Finally, A Real Chocolate Cherry (with caveats....)
I'm a wannabe hairdresser, and I always have been. Even when I was little I was pretty obsessed with hair. Not my hair, but everyone's hair. So I learned to color hair from my best friend, Trea, who taught me well. I was a beauty supply store snob, and I would only use a drugstore product in dire and severe emergency (like I won a grammy and my roots were showing....) So I've been this snob about box color for 20 years, but I recently had twins, and there's Amazon, my go-to for every single thing I need. I had some grey roots, and medium brown, to cherry red, to very very black as the cauldron of hell bottom half of my long hair (dyed blue black, now there's a color that works, but.....I digress.) So I was not expecting any miracles from this color. I got a miracle. Because I used the tortoiseshell brown of this brand before using this color (which is a great color, but harsh, you have to WANT your hair lightened and a bit thrashed (for volume, right?) I had lighter hair when I applied this one and it came out just incredibly well. I would say this is a no fail product, except that hair color depends *entirely* and *absolutely* on what you've got on your head and what you've done to it, and what shape it's in. I would especially recommend this color to people who have had highlights within the last year or so and had them sort of disappear under other colors. The whole "shimmering" thing that Feria/Loreal is hyping is for real. It is incredible. It is harsh on your hair, so know that. If you use the enclosed hydrogen peroxide (and if you switch out a 20 volume, you probably won't get the shimmer lift that they're talking about) you're hitting your hair with a 25 volume perox blow. Box/drugstore colors do their job, but it is what it is. Don't use Loreal colors (or Wella, if you're doing the beauty supply thing) unless your hair is in good shape. This particular color, with 2 boxes for almost waist length, but fine, hair, left on about 15 min longer than suggested, and without applied heat resulted in an excellent grey coverage, and a brilliant chocolate cherry color.

Love it.
Easy to understand and came out close to wha the box said. I love the color and so far the brand seems nice. My hair doesn’t feel dry or fried. Will most likely buy again and try other colors.

Easy to use
It was definitely a very bold burgundy. I probably should have left it on a little less. Now that it's washed out some and it's been 3 weeks I think it looks better. I'm happy with this brand. It didn't dry out my hair too much and it was easy to use

Good—great if you add olaplex.
My last visit to the salon was March 5th, so by August my balayage became a really bad ombré job (see pic 1). For the first time in five years, I bought a home dye kit. (See before and after above). My hair is so damaged from the blonde, so I wanted something that would be gentle while giving good coverage. I bought the burgundy brown, which is very pretty and covered nicely. Even with the large conditioner tube, though, my hair still started fraying further from the damage of the dye. I ended up adding olaplex no. 6 to help smooth and nourish, which helped a lot! If it hadn’t been humid and storming by the time I took this picture, I think you’d be able to see how smooth and sleek the color is when you add olaplex. There’s a lot in the bottle, too. I only used half and got very thorough, consistent saturation. Given my normal bill is upwards of $200 for custom color, and takes 3 hours, I was pretty thrilled with the <$9 price tag and 25 min session of this product. I think I might use it even when I stop social distancing next year—but I definitely recommend a moisturizing / bond rebuilding product to help treat impact of this dye on your hair!

Good tint for dark hair
Beautiful color. If you have dark hair (almost black hair) this is going to be a good redish brown tint. It’s subtle in a good way.

I am very happy
Easy process. Happy with colour. Not too red. Colour rinsed out well. No bleeding on your sheets after first application.
