Ibanez TS808 Original Tube Screamer Overdrive Pedal

The best pedal ever. Couldn’t be more pleased. Gives me that dirty blues/ SRV sound. Especially through my 72 twin verb. It even sounds great through my champ II 25 amp. I highly recommend totally worth the money.

The TS 808 is a classic pedal that is a must have on your pedal board. Works best with Fender type single coil pickups through a Fender type (mid scooped) amp because it seems to add a mid hump making for a full rich sound (iMHO). I have one in my collection and I bought this one for my son who plays a Fender Telecaster through a Fender Deluxe Reverb Amo.. If you play through a Vox voiced amp (mid hump) or a Marshall Amp you may want to consider an OCD or a Timmy pedal as they don't have that classic mid hump that a TS 808 has that can add to the natural mid hump of the amp. But for a Tele or a Strat through almost any fender amp .... It's tone heaven.

I purchased the same tube screamer 808 reissue in 2007 and I loved it. Last year the pedal switch stopped working so I couldn't turn the pedal off. It is the pedal that I use the most with my tube amp because of how it colors the sound. So I had to replace it with the exact same version of tube screamer. Despite my concern about the new pedal not sounding like the one it's replacing, to my surprise they sound sound identical. Whatever they are doing in Japan where they manufacture these pedals they must have stuck with the same components and manufacturing process because I can't tell a difference between the two despite them being 16 years apart in age. Good job Ibanez.

Classic tube screamer. Can’t go wrong with this one. A must have for any pedal board.

TS808 is a great addition to my sound chain. It has a nice warm tube sound to get you that classic rock vibe in your mix.

What else is there to say? The classic Ibanez TS808 is great for any musician wanting a boost. I use mine essentially as a clean boost with tone/dist on zero and level on max in front of my high gain 6505 and triple rec. It amazingly tightens up the tone and boosts the signal in this config. Price is what it is, these things never really change cost. I honestly feel naked without one of these or a ts9 in front of my rig.

Amazing service and arrived in record time. Well packaged, brand new, this thing rocks like a...well you know. This TS 808 is more of an overdrive or boost than a distortion pedal and it definitely has the clean mid ranges I had read so much about that are so often lost in other pedals of this type. In fact I bought this after buying literally loads of OD/Dist style pedals due to the fact that almost every pedal review in the guitar comics compares back to this as the yardstick for what an overdrive should sound like. Eventually the penny dropped and I actually bought the pedal that most of the others on the market are trying to emulate, and I am very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Old-New Japan to buy one from. Now I'm off to try to sell a cupboard full of my redundant pedals...

enfin la pédale que j'attendais. pour tous ceux qui veulent une overdrive de qualité avec un son pêchu, n'hésiter pas. Etant un grand fan de SLASH je me régale et elle complète parfaitement mon octave fuzz signature SLASH. Das Gerät wird für eine Hammond Orgel zur Erzeugung des Over Drives verwendet. Dieser ist sehr gut, allerdings wird dieser Effekt von einem Grundgeräusch begleitet, das in einem Wohnraum stärker zu hören ist als auf einer Bühne.

誰にも好かれるクランチ、長い年月を経て熟成もされていてダメなはずはない。ゆっくりしか弾かなくても、パワーコードでノリを楽しんでも良し。音だけじゃなくて心もブーストしてくれる。値段も法外じゃない。そりゃみんな買うわな。
