When you need that extra length this comes them in a pinch
A while ago I bought the trickle charger that came with one single 6 foot cord to charge my car is when I am not using them. I work out of the house so sometimes it could be a week or more before I use the car or depending on time of the year and it's nice and the nice weather I might be all summer before our use the car. Yo issue I had was the link of the cord that came with the original product I can only park the car in one direction by getting this court I can punch parked car forwards or backwards unable to reach the device to charge. This product has worked flawlessly and allowed my life to be easier and I bought a second one right away for my second car

Using this on a 100w solar panel... created a little MC4 to this adapter and have been using it on my shed outside and currently covered in snow for months. Very heavy duty cable compared to any other SAE cable I've found. I'm not sure of what kind of voltage drop I'm receiving over the distance because of how I have my panel mounted (convenience over maximum efficiency - flat against the wall of my shed facing south) but I know it'd be worse with the spaghetti noodle cables that are so common in this form factor.

Helps extend the charging lead
I leave my optimate can bus charger on the wall behind my bike.

Good quality - as described
Exactly as described. Good quality. 1 foul weather cover

Great extension for Solar panel install on boat
Purchased this cable so that I could mount my Duravolt solar panel on the t-top of our boat. It is well built, sturdy and yet flexible and thin enough to make "fishing the wires" a breeze. I would certainly purchase it again if the need arises.

Perfect for my generator battery!
Exactly what I needed and worked seamlessly with tender and generator connections.

Great Accesory
I use this with an Optimate 6, the cord on the tender/charger is just too short, and this fixes that.

Nice quality
Used this to extend power to the handlebars. Have an OptiMate battery charger cable connected to my battery that had a weatherproof cap. Took it off and used it at the handlebar end for weather proofing. Now easy to use either battery tender or to power my phone with USB adapter.

Works fine
The various combinations of flashing LEDs are a bit hard to fathom but if you connect it up and leave it alone for a while it seems to settle down until a steady green light suggests that all's well.Quite why they make it so complicated I don't know - Broken Battery - Charging in Progress and Charging Finished - that's all you need - Red - Amber & Green. To begin with I had to use the croc clips to connect up but I bought a Kyosho connector from Maplin (£2:50) and fitted that and now I can connect up to my little Honda without the bother of removing the seat to get access to the battery.I shall screw it to the wall in my garage so that it's always ready for use. There's a DC lead from the charger into which you can fit either a lead with ring terminals or a lead with croc clips. I fitted the Kyosho connector to the ring-terminal lead - just cut the ring-terminals off - soldered and crimped on the new connectors - 5 mins.

Great quality SAE extension lead.
This is a great quality original optimate SAE extension lead. The connections are a massive improvement over the previous generation connectors as is the waterproofing arrangement. The wire and insulation is good quality too and the cable remains flexible when cold which helps when routing and connecting.

15' does the trick!
Needed an extra 10-15 feet of cable to allow me to keep the charger in the dry but keep the bikes on trickle charge outside - this is perfect for my needs. Not cheap but quality rarely is.

No need to move the car
With both an OptiMate 4, for smaller batteries, an now an OptiMate 6, with its higher output, for the car batteries, the extender cable allows the car to be charged in the drive, without having to run a mains voltage cable to reach.Having got one cable extender, found this was not quite long enough, so decided to get another. I would have preferred a shorter second cable, but the shorter OptiMate extender does not appear to be compatible.I understand two extender cables can be used in series, though perhaps not endorsed, to reach even further. This means the old second car can now be parked in a more convenient position, but still be connected, to keep its battery in good condition while on standby. The connection between the two cables looks to be fairly weather proof, but a bit of insulating tape around it should ensure it stays dry.

It's a cable
Not too much to say about this one. I have an Mk1 MX5 which is SORN over winter, and the battery always dies come summer time. So I bought an OptiMate 4 and this extension cable (to avoid having to run mains voltage outside) to run from the garage to the car and keep the battery good while it's off the road. It's working great!

Works well on multiple battery types
Optimate have for many years been recognised as the tool of choice to keep motor bike batteries charged up whilst the bike is in the garage. The Optimate 3+ carries on the great work but is now compatible with multiple battery types (lead acid, gel, etc.). Just connect to a battery with the supplied crock clips or wire in the permanent cable and away you go. Good things are it is plug and play, no switches or configuration. Bad thing is that the 3+ has a new connector so if you are upgrading from an older model then you need to fit the new cable that comes with the unit. New permanent connector is larger than the old one but no longer comes with a bright red weather cover.

Extend
I have a Mercedes SL as toy, it has service battery for the alarm and all the ancillary devices which due to lack of use would go flat triggering the alarm. Very popular with the neighbours at 3amI used to run the mains extension cable out of the garage and into the boot of the car with the Optimate 6 charger. No more!Optimate mounted on the garage wall. I now just run the 12v out to the car. Battery now all constantly nicely charged.Well made with plug and socket shrouds..If you need and extension or to run it outside (Much safer than mains) ideal..

A must for fair-weather cyclists
This is a must for 'fair-weather' motor cyclist. This intelligent device keeps your bike battery in peak condition. Over the years it will save you having to buy new batteries, so I reckon it's safe to save that it will repay you many times over. My motorcyclist friends who use this or similar battery conditioners swear by them and one has the same battery in his bike for over 10 years.

Its a lead?
This is the new Optimate 4 type lead, which has different connectors to the old Optimate 3 or old Optimate 4.I initially bought one of the older style leads which obviously did not fit, so I had to then buy this one instead. Its a perfectly fine lead and does exactly what it should, but be aware of the different connector types and make sure you get the correct one for your unit.

Great product
A simple and effective way to allow greater positioning of your charger instead of using a mains extension lead.

Perfect extension lead
I bought this to go with my Optimate 3 because I just needed an extra lead length to reach my stored bike and this was just the job.

Great product
I bought an Optimate in 2000 for my new motorcycle. A neighbour bought a similar motorcycle at the same time. I used the Optimate and he didn't. Between 2000 and 2009, he had to replace his battery 4 times whilst I still used my original one. I put this all down to the trickle charging and de-sulphating programmes included with this charger because we were both "fair weather bikers". I have just bought this new one because I also need to keep a lawnmower ready for use. It costs more than the old one did in 2000 but not too much more than a replacement battery and certainly avoids the inconvenience of an unserviceable mower. I used the included fixed-installation connection loom so you don't have a problem accessing the battery every time you connect it up.

using w/ my optimate for bike/car/van - great
Weatherproof connector to elongate lead used with my optimate for my motorbike and also for our various cars and vans - basically with the red adapter it allows the Optimate to be plugged into any lighterplug and charge / 'care' for the battery! Amazing thing.
