This rear sight is solid. It works as advertised. Sits nicely on the rail, it hasn’t come lose but I have only put 30 rounds through it. The price is great, no complaints there. $29.99 and free shipping. I only put 4 stars down because I haven’t done much with it yet. I’m confident it will stay the course.

This rear sight is well made and fits perfectly. It works with the original front sight on my AR-15. I like the fact that it is all metal with no composit parts. The price is quite reasonable and the service was very good.

This product was very tempting because of how inexpensive it was... and well... you get what you pay for here. Which isnt always the case, in many Instances less expensive options can turn out to be just as good as more expensive options.... this isnt one of those instances. First of all, the entire sight is cut crooked and mounts crooked. It looks terrible up close! Does it maintain zero? Hell no because besides the fact that its crooked it walks all over the rail. I cannot seem to get it to remain latched down in one spot, the threads on the weaver mount are soft and feel like they're about to strip out and I dare not tighten any more. Thread lock doesnt help because it still walks all over the rail. The adjustment knobs move WAY too easily, which would be good for someone who has poor finger dexterity but bad for everyone else who doesnt want to loose their zero every time it inadvertently clicks over by banging into things, putting it inside a range bag etc... This would be way more at home on top of an airsoft gun... this is airsoft quality we are talking about here. This is absolutly not worth the money or you trusting your life to it in a defense situation. It's much more worth it to just spend the extra money and get a good option from a reputable known company. This thing isnt even worth returning so it's going into my box of disappointing gun parts or i might give it to some kid who likes airsoft... who knows but it's not staying on any of my rifles.

I have owned the very expensive Armalite version of this sight and while there are a few small details that were better in the very expensive versions, the price increase certainly does not justify them. This sight is more than a good deal. I like to customize everything I own and so I had this sight torn apart within an hour of receiving it and there were actually a few things this sight does better than my Armalite. Specifically the lug that raises the elevation is very tight with zero slop so once you raise the elevation the sight will not wobble at all, which was a problem with my Armalite sight. However, there is no indexing hole for the elevation knob and so if you raise elevation too high the two halves of the knob will come apart. Also, the Armalite uses set screws to hold the windage knob on where this one uses a roll pin causing the knob to not sit evenly due to the spring detent pressure it is under on one of its sides, but this does not interfere with operation in any way. BASICALLY, this sight's quality compared to its very expensive brothers is top notch and well worth its price tag.

This is a tough one for me. I returned my first one for being actually canted and purchased another one later, to roll the dice. For the money I haven't seen anything so far that will beat this. Unfortunately its $20 though, and there is only so much I can expect for $20 where single millimeters count. Starting with the good: - Solid construction. This will no doubt take a beating in most scenarios. - The aperture stays put and is FIRM, which was a major concern of mine. The tension clip below is excellent - Clicks on elevation and windage are positive and I have no obvious concerns with either mechanism in terms of holding zero - The aperture machining is not shoddy, the holes are precise and the "dish" is uniform - Mount tightens down well and it does not move although this is one of the cheaper areas on the sight The bad: - Due to how it clamps down the whole unit is positioned slightly off center to the right. As this is a rifle sight, unfortunately, this forces me to adjust the windage all the way to the left. I haven't shot 100 yards yet, it might actually require a windage holdover if I tried to be accurate with this at that range, which is not ideal. If you are trying to use the peep sight as intended (physics wise) at significant range this might be a problem. At closer ranges this is not relevant for me with the two I've had. I believe this is a design defect (a cost-compromise is probably more apt) based on skimming other reviews and should be expected - On my second unit the windage knob is very tilted. This is because the hole drilled in either the screw itself or the knob is not exactly to spec and causes the whole knob to be tilted. However this does not affect how it works, it just looks dumb. I am able to press down on the knob to straighten it out because its under tension from both the aperture tensioner and a small spring that holds a ball detent in, but since the knob is pinned to the adjustment screw with a roll pin that causes the screw to move in unison ... which affects the zero. Because its under tension this isn't going to happen on its own but its still not ideal, and with other variances in manufacturing tolerances this could very well make for a aperture that moves when firing if the spring tension isn't great enough. If the holes were drilling in precise locations it wouldn't have to depend on any of that to stay in place. So it obviously isn't perfect and it won't be all that precise. But its $20. For $20 you are getting a solidly constructed AR 15 rear iron dual aperture sight that is clearly designed to fit on a standard AR15 top rail to use the least rail slots as possible which is nice. It is adjustable in both directions and its not a piece of junk in that regard. The tension on all the moving parts inspires confidence in me that it will hold zero. For that alone, and for casual iron sight use this will more than suffice. But here is the dilemma - good fixed iron sights where you can count on all these issues being correct cost a ridiculous amount of money. Anybody can look at one of those and realize how far they are bending you over a barrel for *machining something to tolerances you learn in freshmen metal shop class*. It's not hard. Its real work and non trivial, but its not $100+ worth of work (again, for fixed sights, quality fold up sights that check all the boxes is a different beast). Its a ripoff and its just another thing we're conditioned to expect because thats the way it is. Well I started looking around to see if the market responded for something just like this, a no nonsense version that is close enough. Sadly I do not think $20 to the end user through a reseller is going to be enough to manufacture what I want, after at least 2 layers of markup to make it at all profitable for the groups involved. I'd GLADLY spend twice this much for this EXACT unit that was machined to tighter tolerances. I have yet to find it. In conclusion this is a long winded way of saying its worth the money but the money aint enough to make it worth what its pretending to be. This will completely come down to how youre going to use it. If you want iron sights to complement optics that aren't a $55 piece of wobbly plastic that would snap off the gun if it fell off the bench wrong, this will fit the bill nicely. If you want the full capabilities of what this sight looks like it is, its probably not going to cut it at real ranges. Since thats how its being marketed I decided to give it 3 stars, despite the fact its also just $20.
