The texture and flavor is amazing it’s a little bit on the soft chewy end, but in a good way. At first the flavor profile is smoky and savory with a light sea mist finish I don’t like fishy stuff and this stuff so amazing especially if combined with another flavor I’ve been putting it in kimchi and it’s amazing. I bought a lot of products from Maine coast see vegetables and I’ve never been disappointed.

I was apprehensive after reading the reviews for this product, but I was somewhat pleasantly surprised with it. I will say, it does smell pretty terrible at first, but the taste is better than I expected. It was pretty salty and chewy, and I think I'm going to try to fry some up later this week into chips! I would say, be prepared to taste something you have never tasted before if you order this, but it is enjoyable! UPDATE: I pan fried some of this to make a "DLT" and it was AMAZING! I will definitely be buying more of this.

I am an adventurous eater and have tasted some odd things in my life...this easily made the top 10 list of most awful things I have put in my mouth. I quit eating pork 7 years ago and gave up meat all together 2 years ago. So, when I ran across an article that said this product was "better than bacon", a rich source of iodine, etc... I was intrigued. I have tried seaweed crisps and love them. They are thin, salty, crunchy and you can definitely tell they came from the ocean. I thought this would be a home run! Not the case at all.. When I opened the package the smell was horrendous! It smelled like hot, salty, dead fish. But, I bought them and I was committed to giving them a try. Big mistake! It was SO salty, chewy, sticky...and sandy! It tasted like dead things scraped off of the ocean floor. I would not recommend this to anyone... Unless you buy it for a practical joke or plan to feed it to your enemies.

Very tasty, great way to add some natural iodine to your diet. Especially important if you're using non-iodized salt aka sea salt in your cooking and food. It's not as smoky as I was hoping for...I realize naturally smoked products are subtler in smokiness than artificially smoked things...I prefer natural smoke..just would love to see a SUPER smoky dulse option in the future. I like to just sprinkle a little bit of this on our meals so we're adding that extra boost of nutrition to what we eat. I also have a non-smoked Dulse by the same company, delicious.

I've been very happy with my seaweed. It shipped quickly and is very fresh.

There’s a recipe on the bag where you combine it with grated carrots, mayonnaise and some other ingredients. Makes a delicious, super savory spread to put on a sandwich or on greens.

I absolutely love the taste of this applewood smoked dulse. It gives my kale salad a micronutrient boost along with the flavor boost. Trade in your boring run of the mill salad by adding a bit of This dulse. Works wonders with hearty greens like kale and collards when prepared raw. Gone is the oceanic taste for a smokey flavor explosion that will have anyone humming for more. This is what your salads have been missing for years.

I ordered this because it would be delivered faster than my Vitamin of the Sea smoked dulse I usually order... This is no comparison. While the sodium content is essentially the same (the serving size is slightly different) —this brand suggest 7 oz a serving size which is like 8x more iodine than you 'need'... the 3 oz dose by Vitamin of the Sea is like 400% iodine or something... In any case, I literally CAN NOT consume this. They don't offer returns, so I am stuck with it and will use it to make a video - I am not sure WHY this brand is SO MUCH MORE SALTY despite the label claiming essentially the same amount. If this is the case, either it's really more or Vitamin Sea needs to redo theirs, which taste quite a bit LESS SALTY. This brand IS NOT the same quality. I don't know what Vitamin Sea's 'trick' is... Do they rinse the seaweed longer in fresh water ot pull out some of the naturally occurring sodium? I don't know. All I know is that this brand has a monopoly on the market, maybe their other products are good, don't know... This one is not.
