Great for Beginner Aquarists looking to cycle their tank!
I have used Dr. Timโs Ammonium Chloride in two separate tanks. First my 5-gallon freshwater tank, and now my 10-gallon and it worked exactly as advertised. This product is perfect for anyone doing a fishless cycle using bottled nitrifying bacteria. โ Pros: Accurate dosing: The included dropper cap makes it easy to measure the right amount. The instructions are clearโ4 drops per gallon for 2 ppm of ammonia. Safe & pure: No added dyes or surfactants that could harm beneficial bacteria. Speeds up cycling Great for beginners: It helps to follow the schedule instead of guessing if it is working or not. This is not a stand-alone cycling productโyouโll need to add a nitrifying bacteria culture or have an established filter for faster cycling. Test your water regularly with a liquid test kit to monitor progress. I love the API Freshwater Kit. If you're serious about fishless cycling, Dr. Timโs Ammonia is a reliable and safe option that gives you full control over the process. It took the stress out of my first fish tank cycle, and Iโd definitely use it again for future setups.

Perfect for fishless cycling
Perfect for fishless cycling of the tank. Includes a lot of product too so it can used on multiple tanks or setting up a tank again. Very effective at helping add and test ammonia levels in a fishless cycle.

Great product
Awesome for getting a tank started with cycling. Great value for how concentrated it is. Way better than having that funky fish smell using fish flakes.

Dr. Tims Saved Me.
I read to use my fish food to create ammonia for my cycle, COMPLETE LIE. I'd have needed to use 15 cans of it to produce the affect needed to cycle my fish tank. With 4 drops per gallon of this you can quickly produce the ammonia needed to start your cycle. It took 7 days and I had Nitrates and Nitrates and a LOT of them. My tank finished cycling right on schedule thanks to this product. I would have been monumentally screwed otherwise and if you're new to this please heed my words and use this to cycle your tank (FISHLESSLY OF COURSE) because it will save you time, frustration, and lack of understanding what's going wrong. Set up your tank. Use this. Get the right readings for Nitrates. Add your fish. That simple. I now know how to cycle a tank thanks to Dr. Tim. Enjoy this picture of my healthy thriving tank.

Good stuff for cycling aquariums.
Does exactly what it's supposed to. I just set up a 200 gallon reef tank with 75 gallon sump. I dosed the system using the bottles instructions after having added One and Only. I tested the ammonia level the next day and it was right at about 2.0ppm - 2.5ppm. now to see if the One and Only acts as fast as claimed.

Great product, confusing instructions
This stuff helped cycle my tank pretty quick. I was using it with Seachem Stability and saw nitrites show up in just a couple days, which was way faster than I expected. Itโs a clean ammonia source and didnโt cloud the water or mess with the pH. Only issue I had was with the dosingโit says 4 drops per gallon but the cap has different markings and itโs not super clear how much to use if you need to redose. I ended up just testing a lot and going by that. Still, it did exactly what I needed it to do and Iโd use it again, just wish the instructions were laid out better.

Just what I needed to kick start my new tanks cycle
We went to every pet store in our area, and every wal-mart and pharmacy, no one had the kind of ammonia we needed to start cycling our aquarium. So we decided to try the fish food method...I am not a fan lol. I decided why not just order some ammonia online, yeah, we may have to wait a few days for it to get here, but that will give me time to clean out all this stinky fish food water, and it would be way faster and easier in the long run to cycle our tank with ammonia rather than fish food. I received my ammonia 2 weeks ago and dosed it that day. As of last night, we are so close to being cycled, maybe another week or 2 at most and we will be done and ready for fish! I will say tho, there was not a lot of information given with the bottle. There was a QR code, which I scanned, that took me to their website with a simple video that explained the cycling process, but not in great detail. If this is your first time doing a fishless cycle, I suggest you do some research on cycling an aquarium and understand the process from start to finish before you add any ammonia to your aquarium, it will save you time in the long run, and you don't get any detailed instruction with this bottle. You will also need to do some simple math to figure out how much you will need to add to get your ammonia up where you want it. I did a lot of testing along the way as I added ammonia so that I did not accidentally put too much in. I wound up having to add more than I calculated, but it was no big deal and I have PLENTY of ammonia left over. I ordered some small calibrated 1ml glass droppers and they worked like a charm for measuring out how much I am adding.

Quickest way to cycle your tank.
Used this to cycle my fish tank. Worked well and took all the guesswork out of the process.

Seems to be working
This is the only ammonia source I could find which was specifically intended for cycling an aquarium. I am currently halfway through a fishless cycle (a couple of weeks in) on my new big tank and this seems to be working well - nitrites and nitrates are rising and ammonia is falling... so this works. Obviously make sure you read up on fishless cycling if you're not familiar, but otherwise this seems like a good product and a much better bet than buying household ammonia and hoping it will be safe.
