They cut through wood like butter. They are so sharp. The grip is good, and the leverage is good. There’s lots of power. They well made, and should last a long time. My only problem is that they are very short. I knew that when I ordered them, but you must get very close to cut. So they’re not suitable for cutting wild blackberry canes! That’s on me. So, I ordered a 28” pair of Fiskars loppers to avoid those thorns.

Very high quality for clipping! Works on very small trees and branches. I would say it caps out at about 3” in diameter. Helped to clear a lot of branches quickly and without too much force. Better on wood than soft plants in my opinion.

These are wonderful. They are lightweight but work hard. They cut thin branches so easily and it doesn't take much physical strength. I love these, I say these because I bought 1 and I loved it so much that I bought another pair for my neighbor.

First off, I will say these are not meant to be super heavy duty loppers for pruning large branches. They are meant to be small, light, and easy to use, and in those areas, it excels. When they first showed up, I thought no way these can cut a 1" hardwood branch, they are so light they have to be flimsy. OK, I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong. For as light as these are, they are surprisingly strong. The blade is sharp, coated to be rust resistant, and cutting effort is much less than expected. Durability is good, too. These are not the first pair I got, I had some for several years, and they served me better than I expected for both the price, and for how lightweight they are. I actually got these for my daughter, who likes to help out in the yard. They are light and super easy for even a 13 year old girl to use, the little gear reduction thing at the jaws really helps reduce the strength needed to cut, and they are light enough they don't wear her out. Also, the cutter is 'offset' so that it can almost cut flush if you hold them the right way. I tend to only give 5 star ratings to items that stand out above and beyond others I have used, and these come SOOOO close, but I'll give them 4-1/2 stars because over time the little bolts that hold the blades will loosen, and require tightening every once in a while. Not very often, but they still do. Keep in mind, my old pair have made hundreds of cuts, and maybe needed tightening 3 times. They still worked fine when the bolt loosened up, but they started to get a slight 'wobbly' feel in the hinge. When I saw I could get another pair for $15, I jumped on the chance.

Wow, all the reviews were right. This thing cuts through thick branches with ease. It also makes THE most satisfying sound and feel when it does. Makes yardwork feel fun. Love this so much I'm leaving a review!

Contrary to a previous reviewer about there being no replacement blades, I have tried to replace blades on other loppers previously and the replacements cost nearly as much as the lopper itself. So, that this one doesn't have a replacement blade does not bother me. In fact, I have found that after you replace the blades, the units are often stressed out enough that you break handles. The hassle isn't worthwhile. I have been buying these little Fiskars for the last 5 years or so and think they are great. My elderly father likes them because they are so lightweight. My vertically challenged wife and my kids like them because they can cut with them without having to widely open their arms as with traditional loppers. I like them because they work well and the combination of light weight and short length means I can readily carry them in my back pocket or map pocket of my vest and keep them handy all day long as I walk around my property. I have even managed to forget they are there and try to get back into my truck and sit down (don't do this!). That is how little of an inconvenience they are. So they are just handy as can be for normal loppage. They are also handy as can be for hunting when you are on a new or unfamiliar property and need to clear a spot out under a tree, briar patch, or shrubs to set up for game. You can easily add these to your spot and stalk gear if you anticipate a need to lop foliage on your hunt. Also, because they are mostly plastic, they don't generally squeak or make any sound other than the sound of the branch being cut. The small size makes them easy to keep behind a seat or in a truck tool box, no problem. As these are so handy, I have even given them as X-mas gifts to some of my outdoors buddies and they have loved them, but they were like free crack and now they are addicted and I make them buy their own. There are some drawbacks. As they are compact, it can be hard to reach higher or more distant limbs. As noted in the negative review above, nicks are bad for the blade and I have found that I get nicks primarily from encountering barbed wire unexpectantly. Lastly, and this isn't a bad thing really, I have found that I can wear out a set more quickly than regular loppers because they are so handy in the woods, I use them more than I would ever use regular loppers. If you don't need the long length of traditional loppers, then don't buy those and get these!

Got these for my mum who is an avid gardener but has carpal tunnel syndrome in her wrists, so she struggles to prune the larger trees and bushes around her home. The product is incredibly lightweight, and she powered through pruning a whole Oleander tree by herself so I'm very happy with the purchase. The blade seems to be made out of some type of plastic feeling material which seems to be non-stick and easy to clean, but also super sharp . Seems to be great quality and I would buy again.

Diese Schere hat wirklich Biss! Sie schafft erstaunlich dicke Äste und bleibt auch sehr lange scharf. Ich habe sie schon zum zweiten Mal gekauft, weil ich die erste verlegt habe. Kann sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen, vor allem da sie schön leicht ist und das bei längerer Gartenarbeit natürlich positiv „ins Gewicht“ fällt!
