The nail file is pretty useless!The nail clippers themselves worked fine, just didn't like using them on my dog.

It is a good nail clipper dor the price you are paying and does its job.
A lot of comments were describing how the lock was broken, mine works just fine and had no problems with that. I have an adult cat and I've cut his nails and it also works with cats. Just be careful while cutting your pet's nails has I noticed that it slides on the nail and by mistake you might cut it a bit too much.

Good for cats only
Easy to use cat clippers, I did buy them for my cat and kitten but turns out they are a bit too big for my kitten so be extra careful. In terms of practicality it is great although a small minor problem I had with these is the locking mechanism seems to be loose and always falls into locking. This can be frustrating when cutting a cats claws you get to the moment where it's perfect to cut but the damn thing is locked and your cat is already stressed as it is.

Ok for the price
It works to cut nails, nice and sharpe and easy to hold: but there is one draw back and itβs quite a big one, the safety latch is loose, so when I use them it can slip back and lock the clippers really easily, which isnβt ideal when you are dealing with a wriggling kitten.

Splinters the nails
Awful. I like that cap so you don't accidentally cut off too much, but the safety switches on really quickly and my cat HATES having his nails clipped so that is extra time holding him when he's biting and scratching me, trying to get the safety off with one hand.On top of that it splinters his nails rather than clipping them, something that may be fixed with the nail file if it wasn't for the fact my cat already hates me and I can't hold him for longer than three minutes. What kind of nail clippers splinters the nail??

It's never easy to cut a pets nails, but these work as well as you can ask for
