CutterpillarPro ABS Paper Trimmer

This is an excellent product that every crafter (or non-crafter) should have. The cuts are so precise. We use it every day in our small business. The blade maintains its sharpness. A bit pricey but well worth it.

I avoided purchasing the incredible Cutterpillar for some time simply because of the expense. Didn't think it was possibly worth the $100 price tag. However, after numerous frustrating attempts and ruined cardstock I bit the bullet and purchased. Cutterpillare is AMAZING and accurate. No more slightly off kilter cards and papers. Straight and true cut every single time! Guillotines are okay but quickly become paper crushers after minimal usage and the rule style cutters are much too dependant upon even pressure, often resulting in a wavy edge and need for blade replacement. This will be the last paper trimmer I ever have to buy. <3 it!

As a scrapbooker, card maker, maker of party decorations, etc. I have tried dozens of paper trimmers. This is by far the best one I have ever had! We can start with the quality of the cut. It is smooth and accurate. The lighted base makes it easy to line up your paper exactly where you want to cut it. I love the fact that you do not have to replace blades because the blade is self sharpening. I can't tell you how many blades I have gone through with my other cutters. Another unique feature is the drawer under the cutting base. You can store scissors, rulers, pens and more. The only slightly negative thing I can say about the CutterPillar is that the numbers are a little hard to see. My easy solution was to wipe white paint over the numbers and then wipe and you instantly have numbers you can see. Easy fix! Highly recommend this paper trimmer.

When I first hear about this item. I smiled. After reviews on this I stop to read, still not sure? My husband asked me for the holidays what I wanted?. I ordered this....and was sure that I was going to being tricked! I could not believe the clean cuts! No tearing, no edges that looked like I was trying to make the edges look like aged. I re-cut card stock that I had already cut to size!!! What the cut was so clean! I re-cut edges that I was willing to let go...because the cut was so thin I knew my trimmer was not up for the job. Not to say that YES! there is a light to help with the cut!!

Sorry to say I had to return this trimmer. The lack of a paper holder was the deal breaker, and you cannot get an accurate cut. First cut was off 1/2” top to bottom. Paper shredded like crazy. My jaw dropped, I could not believe the raggedy cut and the wobbling going on. A few simple design changes would make this a great product but in the meantime, I returned it. Amazon was fantastic about it and my money was promptly refunded. Thank you Amazon.

I had the original Cutterpiller for several years and loved it. Over time the black guide lines rubbed off and it was hard to get an even cut. I bought the new one and the new style prevents that, however, because there are no dark guide lines it's hard to really see the tone on tone grid lines. All in all, I love this cutter. The light makes cutting easier with colored card stock and really thick white stock. Never having to replace the cutting blade is also very nice.

This is a great cutter. If I were to do this all over, I would buy the smaller CutterPillar. It does take up a lot of room on my craft table. And there is nothing to hold the paper in place, so you have to hold it exactly where you want it.But on the upside, the blade cuts beautifully! And the blade never has to be replaced! So it is a good purchase.

I have been a paper crafter for 20 years and I have bought many paper trimmers. I have waited a couple of months to post this review because I always seem to like most trimmers at 1st then over time they stop performing as well as they did in the beginning. So far so good with this one. I am an Aide at a shcool and this trimmer works extremely well for cutting colored laminated papers for seeing exactly where my cut will be. It has saved me so much time at work and made me look like a Super Star.
