Review: Winter, faerstice - A good read for people who are in to the series recommend highly can't wait for the next one of the series a really enjoyable read but quick shaping up to be a enjoyable series must read the next one of the series Review: A great read if you can ignore the typos, wrong words, and jumbled sentences - I received an advanced reader copy of “Winter, Faerstice: Charm Against a Sudden Stitch” (Witches’ War Book 1). The main character, Winter, is targeted by a power-hungry witch, who needs Winter’s life-blood and magic to avoid descending into madness. Winter joins a band of good witches, who are hoping to stop the bad witch from killing other young witches. But Winter’s goal isn’t so altruistic. She wants to avenge the death of her little sister. A lot goes wrong for Winter throughout this story, but a lot goes right, as well. I loved this book’s basic storyline. It was a fast-paced read with tension, drama, horror, humor, and suspense all rolled into one. I’ll give the author the benefit of the doubt on all the errors. He did provide a “newer” copy for me to read that was supposed to have caught most of the typos and such, but the book could do with a good read-through from a proofreader or basic copy editor. Even though the mistakes were prevalent, I don’t feel like they detracted from the basic story. Altogether, I’m glad I read it and am looking forward to more installments in this series. However, I implore the author to get a good proofreader for the next books.

Not good or bad just ok
It is really hard to follow at times. I feel like the story is all over at times with No directions. I don't particularly like it when male writers try to write female characters. They don't relate to them because they can't do it comes off ridiculous. And to write about a teenager at that with a group of all ages women was so out of reality for how these girls would be. Winter seemed to forget her mother and her savagely murdered sister without even a call to see if her mother was ok after the flood? There is no way a 16 yr old will do that let alone a female. It's all just wrong from the beginning. Not worth time to read IMO.

Great new witchy read!
An interesting and exciting start to a new witch series! Lots of adventure and excitement....be warned there's also a fair amount of blood here and there. Winter is a teen with some low level witchiness. Downside, whenever using her power she ends up paying for it with headaches or some other ailment. With an absentee dad and a desire to escape her town, she's beyond frustrated. Until the night the dam burst and EVERYTHING changed. In a single moment her life turned on a dime, and all her family taken from her. Does she find a new family by choice or circumstance? Can she finally get a handle on her powers? Will she find out more about her father and why he vanished? We dive into this fascinating new world of witches. I for one have never seen this particular take, and I look forward to reading more. I'm also looking forward to seeing just how Winter grows as a person and a witch in future books! Oodles of excitement, suspense and mystic riddles 😊. I highly recommend this if you're into urban fantasy type reads ❤.

Not your average witch book
Winter, Faerstice Charm Against a Sudden Stitch By Kevin Lawler This was a pretty good book. For young which coming into her powers well also trying to find out what happened to her family and the witches are helping her or using her to help themselves. The only real problem I had with this book was that it felt like you were starting The book a few pages behind but quickly. So it’s an unusual look from most witch books that I have read but I think you’ll like it. I did.

Original new story, hopefully the first of many!
I LOVED this story. This is a great witchy tale, full of interesting twists abd turns. I love that I couldn't predict where the story was going. Some of the characters made me mad with their decisions, so I knew I was really hooked, and I was hooked from the beginning. It was funny, heartbreaking, sad, and most of all unique. I've never read a book like this. But I do hope to read more by this author. I couldn't read it fast enough to figure out where it was all going. This appears to be the first in a series, and there is a bit of an end, but it's also very open to whatever will come next. A must-read!! I received this book as a gift, and I was honored to have offered my opinion above!

Wheew
This book is jumbled, makes very little sense, jumping from one thing to another. All kinds of misspelled words. Just couldn't finish.
