Aolyty Solar Motion Sensor Alarm Light with Siren and Red LED Flashing

I love these alarms! I use them to alert me if anything or anyone is near my barn at night. I also use them by my beehives and my fruit trees. They most likely won’t scare away a bear from my hives but at least I will know it’s out there and can use other methods to scare it away. I have ordered 8 of these. I used them to keep deer out of my flower beds. I do live in the woods if you haven’t guessed that yet, so l can honestly say they work great for me. The only thing is sometimes they are hard to set on the right setting, but with a little patience you can get it. They are loud alarm and the bright flashing light work great together to scare or at least deter critters.

DO NOT BUY!! IT DOES NOT WORK,DOES NOT DETECT ANYTHING!! UPDATE: I WAS SENT A REPLACEMENT AND SO FAR IS WORKING AS ADVERTISED.

The alarm is loud and screechy but so far it thinks CLOUDY day is NIGHT . I have it close to ground to better damage the EARS of trespassing cats (may work?) Well I have it hanging 4 feet up on a pole. Today it's ridiculously windy AND SUNNY so the motion sensor keeps getting tripped by stuff blowing around in my back yard so the siren shrieks continuously for hours when exposed to movement! However once solar battery is used up the device will TAKE A DAY OFF and go silent for 12 hours until internal battery is recharged again by bright sun all day! Thus this device only performs PART-TIME and is not worth $15.00 $7 or $8 would be generous. UPDATE: Once solar charged it will sound almost anywhere. It was laying on garage floor under my van & sounded as I passed by (Great CAT. CONVERTER THEFT ALARM!!) Laying in bushes it sounds at sunrise & when tree branches move, squirrels pass it etc. Basically it's an electronic WEATHER VANE sounding daily with SUN & BREEZY trees. REPLACED BY The solar infrared sensor alarm $35 is a huge improvement and now my driveway & yard sentry!! Key fob control, solar & USB powered, works 24 hrs, awesome sounds!

We out this on our gate, closer to the ground to deter “our” skunks. No luck. The product itself does exactly what it describes, and it may not scare our critters, but I can’t speak for all critters. It scared me in the middle of the night. 🤣

Have four of these units scattered in strategic points throughout the garden area, including hen coup. These things work. I live off grid in up state NY and the solar charges these units perfectly and without fail. The sound these units emit is loud and the flashing lights are annoying to all the creatures I have seen activate a sensor. Thus far the units have successfully driven away black bear, coyotes, raccoons, fox, and skunks. In order to keep the frighten most of these animals, I am required to frequently re-position the units in new locations. Coupled with solar powered motion sensored led lights the area around my cabin is well protected and can easily drive away the most determined of animals in the forest around me.

I purchased this because I have had people using my back stoop to my alley way as a place to shoot up heroine. Yesterday, I installed this alarm after charging for 72 hours, today I went out to double check it was working and as I opened the gate to the stoop, there were two junkies in the process of shooting up about 6 feet from the alarm directly in the path of the motion sensor. The alarm did nothing while they were there or when the gate opened. My window is open and my desk I work at is 25 feet from that gate, I should have clearly heard the alarm if it worked. After I scared them off, I tested the alarm and it worked intermittently between 5 tests where I walked in front of it and waved my hand 1 foot away in front of the sensor. I should note that the alarm did go off when I reached for it but not a moment sooner. When this alarm does work its closer to 60 or maybe 70 decibels. My Fiat 500 Abarth exhaust is louder than the alarm and that is DOT rated to produce a maximum of 85 decibels. This is a tremendous piece of garbage and isn't even worth the $16 I bought it for. I'll be buying a real alarm next time.

RACCOONS GONE!!! These flashing alarms are worth their weight in gold. I had been battling raccoons that were tearing down my bird feeders and presenting a danger to my chickens and small dogs at night. These flashing alarms have worked wonders at repelling these pests.

Once the light/alarm is triggered it does not automatically reset. It goes off once, and never turns off. Instructions terrible. Difficult to figure out even how to turn off the alarm.

I never got to use this unit as intended because during the setting up, changing modes, the switch broke. The only option was to use a screw driver (or similar) which is not practical. The strobe and siren were fine. I do not recommend this.
