Neo G Kids Ankle Brace With Figure of 8 Strap

We purchased 2 of these ankle braces 4 months ago for my 10 year old daughter. She started wearing these when she was in a size 3 shoe and they were a close enough fit to use on a daily basis while still big enough to allow some room for growth. With her latest growth spurt, she's now a size 5 and they fit perfectly. I think we may be able to continue using these through size 6, but anything larger than that may be too tight to pull these braces on and off. The smallest size brace that her doctor had available was an adult small, which she was miserable in as it pinched and bunched up all around her foot. We are both very happy with this purchase. The brace is made of a very sturdy material that is soft enough to be worn all day if needed. With the adjustable velcro straps, we can adjust them as needed to find the perfect level of support and comfort for her foot size. The brace stays in place and doesn't bunch up in her shoe the way others have. The velcro straps stay in place and don't need to be readjusted throughout her activities. What is really nice is that the brace can be machine washed and hung to dry. They've been washed repeatedly over the last few months and each time they come out looking good as new. We haven't run into any issues with shrinking, loss of elasticity, or unusual fabric wear with washing. My daughter is very active and feels she can keep up with everyone else with minimal discomfort when wearing these braces. While she is only supposed to wear them when she is being active, they are comfortable enough that she sometimes forgets she's even wearing them and will leave them on all day at school. They do make her shoes fit a little snugger, which is to be expected, so we compensate by using a wider shoe or loosening her laces more than usual. I highly recommend this product for any child who has issues with ankle injuries.

Bought this for my 5 year old son after he rolled his ankle playing outside. He is able to put it on by himself. He likes that his shoes still fit on over it and in some cases it fits under his socks. It must be very comfortable as he has sensitivity issues but has never complained about it being itchy or uncomfortable. I have not worn it but it appears to offer a moderate level of support meaning it is sufficient for day-to-day activities but likely would not offer support during more aerobic activities. He wore it during his kung fu class and it worked well enough for that but he said his foot hurt after a day of gym class and playground activity. From a parents perspective it was exactly what I wanted, exactly as advertised, appears to be a high quality item, and I couldn't be happier.

This review is for the youth size of the Neo G Ankle Support. My 9-year old son experienced a mild ankle injury in a basketball game. After taping his ankle for a couple of games, it was clear that the support from taping was too rigid. We looked for different solutions including an ankle brace that ties up and the Neo G. My son felt the Neo G provided the necessary support without limiting the motion of his foot and ankle. He has used this support strap for two weeks as his ankle continues to strengthen. Overall, the product does what it is intended to do, is well-made, and is easy enough for my son to put it on before games. My son wears the Neo G over his sock. The Neo G is not too bulky and fits well under his foot without causing blisters and behind his foot without stretching his shoe or causing his shoe to feel too tight. Overall, he is very pleased with this product.

This was perfect for my 8 year old to wear during baseball practice for added support.

Update; Amazon refunded my order. The seller should state that it is not returnable since it is a prime item. Other than item bothering my daughter's skin, the brace is of good quality and would work perfectly. Her skin is sensitive to many types of fabric, so I don't think the product is bad; it just wasn't a good fit for my daughter. Not comfortable. Even though this is a PRIME purchase, it is NOT a typical PRIME purchase because you CAN'T RETURN it. To make matters worse, although it is marked as PRIME, there is no mention of it not being returnable. I am ticked off at both the seller and Amazon. If something is marked PRIME, either it should be returnable, or it should state that it is NOT RETURNABLE. The return policy is completely absent in this description. Terrible!

My daughter rolls her ankle every couple of months, it seems, and we’ve gone through countless wraps and braces to give her support while her ankle heals a little. Wraps come undone, and she had little success finding a brace that fits properly. We gave it one last effort to find suitable support, and as soon as she tried this one on and tightened the straps, she was a happy girl. Finally, she had support! She likes that she can still move around well but doesn’t have to worry about the straps loosening or excess material bunching. Best of all, she can adjust it independently rather than relying on me. I’m happy to do it, but as a teenager, I’m sure she has more important things to do than come to me when she needs her brace adjusted. She wore it for a couple days and was able to begin her strengthening exercises much sooner than normal, something our doctor requires if she’s going to use a brace. Temporary support is okay, but relying on it for too long will worsen the problem instead of improving it. This brace made that possible, as no time was spent fussing with ill-fitting materials.

Great support, my daughter badly sprained her ankle, this helped her come off the crutches and get back to gymnastics and rugby. Very easy to use and adjust.

So far so good. My 9 year old has joint hyper mobility, but is a keen footballer. He has been frequently complaining of ankle injuries, so bought two of these to see if it might help to reduce the discomfort and give him extra ankle protection. Though early days, it seemed to work, and he is looking good, happy and comfortable on the pitch.
