Yes, BUT buy your own fabric. The fabric that comes in the kit is almost the exact color as a significant amount of stitching at top of stocking. Therefore, you can't see the stitching and it is a nightmare trying to actually stitch it since it blends into the fabric.

Would you please tell me if the pattern is black & white or color?

The printed pattern is black and white.

Why do you say this is pre finished when the one below says it comes with backing material?

Backing material is provided with instructions. Fairly easy to do

Is this a good kit for beginners?

Yes, this is easy enough for someone who has done a few simple counted cross stitch kits and wants to move up a notch in experience. Not at all hard in my opinion, verse is done in simple back stitch.
