CuisinartDLC-839A detachable stem.

My old stem split apart recently as I shredded a block of cheddar! Damn! I had to pick the plastic out of the cheese so as not to waste. Happily, this replacement part was available and fits! Today I shredded a block of parm and was wary as to it happening again. Success! Shredded the cheese like a champ, so I did some fontina and then zucchini. Thanks Amazon and Cuisinart! Getting old doesn't have to mean you're done for!

Last week when I tried to force the grater-blade assembly out of the bowl of my wife’s beloved 8+ year-old Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus, the stem broke. I was sure it was not fixable, but then found this stem among the listings of the various replacement parts. Happily, this stem a perfect fit, and as the icing on the cake, has a slightly newer design that makes quick work of releasing the blade from the stem.

very good product works exactly like it should.It clicks right into postion and very easy to take it off the base.

Initial concern it would be the wrong part but, worked beautifully on our DLC-8M. We can now use our food processor once again.
