Worked well to drain a inboard boat tank
This was pretty easy. I didn’t have to worry about any sparks. It has a clamp which made it easy to shut off the float to switch into tanks. Took out 30 gallons of gas from an inboard tank. It is not the fastest, but it works fine.

Impressive! Simple, effective, high quality, easily removed excess transmission fluid from my truck!
I have a old Ford Ranger that accidentally had 2 quarts too much transmission fluid in it. I bought this pump based on the reviews and very glad I did. Easily removed the excess fluid, didn't spill a drop in the process, couldn't have been easier or more cost effective solution. You can use this pump in two ways, one for gravity feed, other other for non-gravity, which is the method I used. For non-gravity suction, you simply cut about 2 feet (or whatever length you need) off the end (the section with the brass fitting). You attach that smaller piece to the end of the one-way hand pump (arrow pointing towards fluid flow). Then attach the long hose section to other side to the pump. I removed the transmission dipstick and inserted the long end of the hose down. Keep working it down until it hits bottom, trust me it's longer than you think. You think you reached bottom, but you will go in further. I would occasionally hand pump it, if no liquid came out, it meant I haven't reached the bottom yet. Once I hit the bottom of the transmission fluid tube, it immediately started sucking up fluid with each hand pump. I used an empty 1 gallon apple juice container to empty out the fluid. The supplied tube holder worked great in holding the opposite end of the tube. I very quickly pumped out the two quarts I needed removed. Once done, I pulled the tube out and that was it. I really appreciated the quality of this pump. Seems pretty simple, a clear plastic tube and a one-way hand pump. But these guys use quality components, doesn't feel cheap in your hands, solid and strong suction. I know this isn't a throw away item, but something I can use for years. Very impressed with the results and quality!

The good: The pear and the aluminum valves are solid
I used it to transfer around 15 gallons from a fuel tank into canisters before removing a fuel tank from my van. I put my van's rear wheels onto a pair of ramps, removed a filler neck hose from the gas tank, and inserted the Siphon Pro’s flexible hose with a brass in the end into the tank. I pointed the other end of the rubber pair into the canister’s open top and started squeezing the pear. After around 1 hour of squeezing, the job was done. The good: The pear and the aluminum valves are solid. The valves can be removed and reinstalled by simply pulling them from the pear and pushing them back in. I finished the job after all, though it took a while. The bad (and that is why I didn’t give it 5 stars): When you have a setup such as mine, the top of the canister is higher than the top level of fuel in the tank of the vehicle. So, if you, after squeezing few times and having the gas flowing, quickly remove the pear to make the fuel flow freely into the canister and let the atmospheric pressure do all the work, it just doesn’t do. You have to keep squeezing. The problem with this tool is that the aluminum neck for the flexible hose on the inlet valve is only 3/16 inch long. It works great to quickly remove the pear (what it is designed for) but not when you need the hose to stay on for an hour of squeezing. I only wish they made this neck at least 5/16”, or even 3/8” long. In that case, it would still be easy to quickly remove it, but the hose would stay on better. I had to zip-tie it on a short 3/16 neck, which helped somewhat, but the hose was still falling off many times during the job. On the other hand, I understand the manufacturer’s need to sell an electric version of the pump for jobs like this. Yet, some people would never go for the electric one and prefer to stick with the old-days basics. For them, I’d recommend the above-mentioned improvement in the design to make it a 5-star tool.

Great product.
Works like a charm. I had to reorder it because it was missing a part the first time I got it. But, the return process worked great and I had another one on my doorstep a few days later. I was in a Hurricane Milton affected area and I needed this siphon to remove the fuel out of my two backup generators once my power came back up. Also helped my elderly neighbor to do the same. I may get a second as a backup. This kit has the bare essentials, plus the flow stop valve, plus the holder to keep it in place. The weighted end definitely helps to keep it at the bottom of the tank. Easy to operate. Plus the shutoff valve makes it easier to do the job safer and while minimizing fuel loss. Plus this setup eliminates the worry of swallowing fuel. The pump itself is easy to operate and works great. For those with health concerns, it is definitely a safer option. Probably not a bad idea to keep one at home and one in the car in case of disaster scenarios.

I couldn't make it work!
I have to tell you it looked simple enough. But I never was able to get this thing to work! I turned it up down put the spout in the other end squeezed with both hands, it just would not work for me. I could never get the flow started. Now, granted, I have arthritis in my hands but if I can squeeze hard enough to compress the bulb there should have been something going on as far as sucking up the fluid it never came far enough of the tube for me to see. All I can do on this one is say that it could have been me it could have been the product. I finally found a pump that was battery operated and it worked well.

Very good material quality
Pump is strong but could be stronger. Handles any viscosity, from water to oil. No complaints so far.

Works Perfect & I have 3 other syphon products to compare
I have 3 other siphon products, from pump types like this to electric, and this works the best and is most useful. The others are to fat to fit smaller openings, hoses that are too small, making them too slow, others have no weight to keep the hose at the bottom, so just like the girl & the 3 bears ... this one is just right.

Franchement pratique

Faultless.
Good old fashioned quality build. Instructions include many references about how to preserve the item's longevity - not the modern attitude to helping you to ruin it and then buy another. Would recommend without hesitation. The Hose Manclip is excellent and a very handy device to help hold hoses in place. I am using it on a varity of 20 litre containers and it fits all of them which is very helpful. In addition I can say that your siphon pump is the bees knees and is perfect for the job I’m doing. We make around 500 litres of comfrey liquid fertiliser for our garden each year. It is very smelly stuff and getting it on my hands is a nightmare and demands some drastic cleaning if I’m to be allowed back in the house. To say that the pump works well is an understatement. Normally, using a plastic siphon and a jug I can take a day to decant 100 litres of the liquid into smaller containers from the vats where we brew the fertiliser. This last brew was decanted, bottled and stored in three hours, mostly because I could use 19mm hose which speeds up the process with a vengeance. At last a siphon pump that is built to last, is easy to use and looks like it might outlast me. Many thanks for the product, I’m really chuffed.

Consigliato.
