It fits and is very well made
The only thing not to like about this is that you can't buy any of the parts separately. I wanted a second stretcher so I could mount a custom tool cabinet under it. I ended up fabricating an exact match. It would also be nice to add a third stretcher across the back that has some fastener points for steadying the cabinet so it doesn't move.My final observation is that if you put it on casters they need to be fabricated or installed with heavy washers such that you can have the upper bearing race sits flush with the underside of the legs. Otherwise, the caster stem will bend the threaded mounting hole and go crooked on you (it only took me a week to see that and sort it out). But if you want a really nice stand instead of building a whole bench for your lathe, this is a good one. Also, for me the price made sense because I was able to get my lathe new at a damaged freight auction house for about half price. It was missing the faceplate wrench and the motor label was spoiled, but other than that, it was perfect. The lathe is way way way better than my old Delta Midi. It was definitely worth doing. I also got the Nova Titan III chuck, which is fully compatible every one of my jaw sets that I had collected for my G-2 that came with my Delta. That also was well worth it.

Lousy design and assembly - obviously cutting corners
Powermatic USED to be manufactured in the United States, and USED to be a "gold standard" however, after struggling to assemble the stand to my new 2014 lathe, I am beginning to doubt the long reputation. The stand comes disassembled to allow for packing efficiency. The parts seemed stout and nicely made, the directions are a bit thin - could have used bigger illustrations and a better explanation of how the assembly is to be accomplished. But, basically a straight-forward process, that is, up until you attempt to link the two stand ends together with a crossbar. At that point you realize that it must have taken a small committee of engineers to come up with the most difficult and frustrating process (unless you happen to own a hardware store or work for a specialty tool manufacturer). The instructions ask you to fit a bolt through a hole inside a small cut out in the cross bar and attempt to fit a wrench on it around the box metal legs not impossible but not really simple. The obvious choice would have been to enter the bolt from the outside of the legs into the crossbar where you could easily put on a wrench and secure it. I was forced to rethink the fastening myself so that I would feel safe using the lathe. I also noticed that there are several instances where two bolts would be used, but only one is called for and only one is provided. It seems sad that I had to clean paint out of the threads, force the bolts to align and purchase additional hardware just to get things to work out - particularly for the price charged. I hope enough people complain about this to Powermatic that they give some consideration to redesigning this aspect of the assembly. Gold standard... not really.
