Bananarama, Banana Candy (PACK OF 3)

I bought these after having read the review "banana downfall" and scoffed that this product could destroy the genetic and societal bonds that made up my family. On a Tuesday the corner of the bag was cut open with a pair of scissors, allowing a small quantity to be poured into one's hand. It was to my utmost horror when on Thursday this small tear had turned into a gaping hole, letting one reach into the bag and pull out bananas by the hundred. By Friday the bananas were being poured into cups and consumed en masse and by Sunday they were gone. All this despite repeated protest that "this is my last one." Verdict: downfall all but assured

I bought three kinds of banana hard candy to see which one I liked best: Oak Leaf Banana Heads sold by SmartVending, Medley Hills Farm Silly Yellow Banana Heads by RTM Distributors, and Bananarama by Terrific Deal. All three are awesome and I would buy any of the three in a heartbeat. I am giving all three of them five stars but I'll still say which is my favorite.1. Best: Oak Leaf Banana Heads. They're hard candy, but on the soft end, such that you can chew them without sucking on them very long. The taste is excellent. Very strong banana taste. Not too sweet for me.2. Bananarama. They're harder; you do have to suck on them before you can chew them. Excellent taste.3. Medley Hills Silly Yellow Banana Heads. They're soft like the Oak Leaf ones, but the taste isn't quite as good. If I just had these and I was not comparing them, I would say they're excellent and I would buy them again. They just happen to be my least favorite of the three.

It's difficult to articulate how much I love banana candy. A lifetime ago I used to buy banana candy from a Bananarama vending machine. I assumed I was the only person buying it because if I didn't go frequently, they landed up tasting rather stale when I was able to buy them. I would rank those candies 4/10. Later in life I found a candy store that so Banana candy which I could buy by the pound. They actually tasted rather good but I believe they were quite expensive, and they were a rather far away from me. Despite the far drive and the relatively high cost I would read that banana candy 7 out of 10.Despite entering adulthood I still periodically get the urge to eat banana candy. I was excited to see that I could buy banana Candy by the bulk on Amazon. The first brand I tried was extremely poor and that a couple banana candies tasted absolutely Rancid enough so that I hesitated in finishing it. Perhaps worse was that its banana flavor was very weak and just slightly off from that delicious fake banana flavor that I love. I would rate that candy 3 out of 10.This brand is seriously really close to the runs brand banana candy. I actually prefer that this banana candy is a little bit softer than the Runts candy because I like to bite into the banana candy as soon as it's soft enough not to crack my teeth. However it's soft enough that I can actually just Chow Down on a pound and a single sitting. In just three days I ate all of 2lb by myself. I definitely rate this banana candy 9 out of 10!

These bananas candies are legal cocaine. If you’re looking to fuel your banana addition I recommend buying these over any other. These are softer than runts, powdery like at the end which tastes exactly like the White Stick from Fun dips. Can’t get enough.

I can’t even give an accurate review on the taste because the poly bubble bag arrived with the a plastic bag, taped and the candy inside. No where does it say repackaged. This arrived all busted up and the candy spilled all over the inside of the bag.

These are delicious and taste just like the banana Runts. They're exactly what I wanted. Will order more.

I really liked these candies. Great flavor. Some seemed to be a little harder than others, but when you suck on them for a moment the dissolve into banana flavored deliciousness in your mouth. 2 pounds is a lot of candy also... We've had this bag for a few months now and I will occasionally pop a couple in my mouth and they aren't stale or gross. Would buy again if I have a hankering for BANANAS!

The flavor is good for these candies. Not quite like the originals, but I would say a very close match. The outer candy shell is very hard and the inside is, well, powdery. A little too powdery. If you eat a few at a time, once you have gotten through the candy shell, it is like eating a handful of powdered sugar. Since the taste is sweet, it is tolerable, but gets to be a bit much and end up not wanting more.
