The Animals of Farthing Wood: The Adventure Begins (A Puffin Book)

It is a wonderful book! Am replacing my son's book (he loved the whole series) - that I lent and never got back. Very nice edition (paperback).

My children have had me read this book to them many, many times and they never seem to tire of it. It is a chapter book, and they beg me to read the next chapter and the next ...I was quite surprised, as the writing is quite formal and the tone is very serious. But the kids love it!

It was an excellent read and the story flowed well. I'm looking forward to the next books in the series

I was captivated by this novel and almost tearful at the demise of the otters.

The Book:The font size is fairly large, so you will probably go through it within a couple days of casual reading. The story is great for both young and old, and covers the very beginning of events at Farthing Wood from multiple perspectives.Ill probably update this review after reading further into the series.

Love the farthing wood series, but this book wasn't the story i expected. The book quality itself was good

I loved the animals of farthing wood when I was younger and have recently re read the series. I didn't know there was a prequel until now. I really enjoyed it but somehow it didn't have quite the same essence as the original story.
