I read the digestive pills should not contain magnesium. And this one has it in the ingredients. Why does it have it?

In Digest Gold, small amounts of magnesium citrate are used to support ATP production in the body. ATP is a molecule that stores and transfers energy within the body.

If this product contains cellulase, the enzyme that breaks down cellulose, why doesn’t it deteriorate the capsule itself, made from cellulose?

I suspect it needs the addition of water (or some liquid) to break down the cellulose. My Doctor recommended Digest Gold to me and it does help.
