Easy Recipes From The New Orleans School of Cooking
I visited New Orleans recently and attended a cooking class at The New Orleans School of Cooking. My group learned to make gumbo, jambalaya, bread pudding, and pralines. We ate every dish and it was soooo good. The general store was closed when I went so I came home and ordered their book, Class Act. It has the same recipes we followed in the class as well as several others. I haven't tried more than than what I did in class but I expect the other recipes to turn out just as well.

A New Orleans Tradition - FOOD
Hello, and welcome to N'awlins. This book is fun and has great recipes in it. I am from New Orleans and the note on the recipes on page 7 is true. Louisiana people use a Roux to cook with and it is very easy to make for your recipes and food. Information on "The Trinity" does not mean anything spiritual or religious it is talking about seasoning. In most places in the U.S. andouille can now be purchased, but if you cannot find it there are many places in Louisiana that ship it. File is great for gumbos and can usually be found in the local grocery. The book is produced from a Cooking School in New Orleans and introduces cooks to the world of Cajun Cooking. These recipes are simple, authentic recipes and capture taste buds significantly. Make a traditional Cajun meal for your family TONIGHT.

not what I was looking for
I gave this book away the day I received it. Nothing in here that was mouthwatering as the food is in New Orleans. Disappointed.
