Portland Design Works Speed Anodized Metal Grips

I've put these grips on two of my bikes. The thumb groove gives a great lateral response while riding, and it's better than many other locking grips.

Will probably order more for my other bikes. These things look and feel awesome. No slippage and slipped right on.

Great grips. First upgrade I get for all my bikes. They offer great comfort and the same time offerIng quick response and feel on the bar Love them.

Truth be told, primary reason I bought these is because I thought they looked great and thought the "pistol finger-grip" would be a nice tough. I realized this was a mistake after riding city streets with these for 6 months. They black grips on these feel just as hard as holding the bar itself. The only saving grace is that I ended up buying the ESI Extra Chunky MTB Grip and exchanging the rubber grip while keeping the nice red metal clamps on my bars. In my opinion, I would not recommend.

These are awesome. The grip they create is very stable, and the locking mechanism is sturdy. The only downside is that if they barely touch something harder than them (concrete, asphalt, etc) the colored coating scratches off super easy.

These are great grips. They're stylish and comfortable and should hold up well. I've been riding with them every day for a couple of months and have had no issues. I commute about 5 miles a day in an urban environment. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is that the black plastic end caps fell out within a day of riding. ends up I didn't have the grips on the bar far enough so it's partially my fault, but the grips rely on the mechanism of the end cap to keep it secure rather than utilizing the allen bolt at the grip end to secure the cap as well. Still, end caps are cheap and easy to find. love these otherwise.

I bought these after seeing a good writeup at a bike site on the web. They look sharp on my new Kona, although the blue doesn't match exactly. They clip down nice and tight, and come with end plugs and even allen wrenches for installation, a nice touch. No movement at all, and they don't come loose. They're also very light, almost as light as the rubber grips I took off the bike. However, I don't find them the most comfortable. Perhaps I need to adjust the shifters and brake levers on my bike, but after a few hours of riding my hands right on the ball of my thumb become sore. The grips aren't particularly cushy, and the small diamond pattern is very noticeable by your hands. They do provide plenty of grip and control though, and your thumb seems more naturally positioned in the groove than it does on a straight style grip. So I'll give them 3 stars. They're not bad, but I wasn't bowled over by them.

Best grips I have, the ODI's work well too, but these lock on and the finger position is EXCELLENT.

Really nice grips, as with all grips super easy to put on, look great well pleased with them... you know about it on these cold nights if you forget your gloves though
