Lovely TPU, printes superbly on my Elegoo Neptune3 Pro
I found it a bit scary as a newbie, wondering whether to risk using TPU on my lovely new first 3D printer! I did a fair bit of research before buying this TPU, I wanted good translucency, a decent brand, and a reasonable price. Eryone's Transparent TPU fitted those requirements so I gave it a go with a 500g spool. I'd also discovered that TPU is particularly prone to moisture absorption, making it spit and hiss and messing up the prints so before I opened the pack I found Rickey Impey's YouTube tutorial on making his "ultimate drybox" and bought the appropriate Sistema box, printed all the parts, built it, installed the spool, and I was ready to go. I print with my stock 0.4mm brass nozzle, at 10mm/s first layer and then 20mm/s after that. I've pushed it to 12.5 first layer and 15 after that without any issues. Haven't dared go any faster yet, hahaha, stuff takes ages to print but it comes out crisply printed and perfect in every way on everything I've tried so far. Supports pull away cleanly, I've made vase-mode (which is single wall thickness of course) boots/gaiters for keeping dust and dirt out of a classic car brake assembly, chunky grommets for sealing cable entries on outdoor connection boxes for wildlife cameras, replacement rubbery mount parts for an old but very functional camera tripod, resilient rubber jaw-covers for a vintage suction-mount vice, and a protective bumper case (found on Printables.com) for my new Pixel7a phone. Fantastic! My only regret is buying just 500g, the next spool will be the full kilo :o) I was also terrified of ruining my textured PEI bed that comes with the Elegoo Neptune3 Pro - TPU can bond permanently to it and rip the coating off the print sheet on removal, so I started off extremely carefully with tiny test items at different temperatures, and found that it sticks well but not TOO well to a completely cold textured PEI sheet, any problems with detachment and curling can be dealt with by heating to just 35C and/or using a brim for adapparently when the bonding happens and you have to shell out on a replacement print sheet, yikes!hesion. If you want to print on the smooth side you'll need a fair bit of gluestick and 35C+ to get satisfactory adhesion. Just not too hot or it'll BOND :o)

Impressed - what can I make next!
First time ever using TPU as I normally use PLA+ but wanted to see what opportunities being able to print flexible items would open up. Running a temp tower indicated the best temp/quality ratio to lie in the 215C area. However I have an Eryone ER-20 with Bowden cable feed and when trying to run my first couple of jobs I had issues with the filament bowing out of the extruded mechanism. This isn’t a fault of the printer, more a quirk of flexible filament. After a bit of experimentation with temperature and feed rates I found that running at nozzle 228C, bed 60C and a feed rate of 30 mm/s gave very consistent results and eliminated the bowing completely. I know this is way slower than you would feed something like PLA at but it’s better to go slow and have success than to rush and have to repeat the job. As my old boss used to say, there’s never time to do something properly but there’s always time to do it again! TPU is an great, unusual filament because it allows you to print flexible items. Here is the first part of a new dust skirt for my CNC dust shoe to replace the bristles. This was printed at the speeds and temp above, with a layer height of 0.1mm, an initial layer height of 0.3mm, line width 0.4mm and infill density of 20%. I am very pleased with the results. Outcome was smooth and flexible as you can see and it will perfectly replace the bristles. Many people might feel it is brave to attempt to print TPU without a direct drive machine but I would encourage you to give it a go. It will give you the flexibility (ouch!) to make something different from your usual prints. Would recommend this Eryone TPU filament of you are considering giving TPU a try

Prusa Mini+ copes fine - but it is a s-l-o-w print process
On my Prusa Mini+ I used a bed temperature of 50C and a nozzle temp of 210C and it worked without stringing at all, even better than the PLA+ that I normally use. However, it is extremely slow, when using the config from Prusa for FLEX filament, although I did up the layer height to 0.3mm. The average print speed was 30-40mm and even though the solid infill was set to 80mm I either did not have any solid infill in my prints or it actually ran slower. The printer did complain about one of my prints, namely that the G-Code was for a different filament type (it only knew about FLEX not TPU) but I just overrode that and it all worked fine. Still, slow or not (when compared with PLA or PETG) it printed very well indeed and the printer sucked in the filament as normal, and it was not like trying to force a wet noodle into the Bowden tube as I had been warned by various YouTube videos! I printed a simple embossed coaster which was fine and which I'm testing for resilience. I also printed a calibration cube that I've sunked in a beaker of water to see how it copes in wet conditions. It's supposed to be water resistant which confuses me, as I've read this filament is quite hydroscopic? 🤷

Good Quality And Value
ERYONE TPU is good value and since you probably won't use TPU that often, 0.5kg is a sensible choice. TPU is notoriously tricky to print with as it is so soft - make sure you get your temperatures just right and if your printer is built into an enclosure, ventilate it well. My first print failed half way through (!) because there was a tangle on the roll, but since then printing has been excellent, very impressive. If there are cavities in your design, expect some very fine stringing which is easily removed. My end results have been high quality, could not be happier.

Nice Filament, Fairly Rigid
Prints well, stock settings on the Bambu Lab A1 Mini for 'Generic TPU' with a PVA gluestick and talcum powder adhesion and stringing test with two mini spiders. Talcum powder makes for a very easy release, gluestick probably the best balance. Comes out smooth, glossy black and looks very smart. Arrived very dry but I did 30 mins in the oven at 50 degrees before the first print too. Stiffer than I expected, but first time using this stuff and only a very small print.

Great TPU Filament (White)
Bought this filament to use on my new 3D printer as it was a good price and only 500g so if it was not great I was not buying a whole reel. I certainly can say this filament is great but I have not tried other brands so far. Some reviews of TPU mention issues with printing but straight out of the box I have had excellent results. Hardly any stringing and excellent adhesion to the build plate by using the reverse smooth side with cheap masking tape and bed glue stick as some reviews mentioned TPU sticking to the build plate and not cleaning up well. All in all very happy with this TPU filament.

Too soft for some extruders
The material is too soft for my Ender 3. It's difficult to thread into the extruder and difficult to feed along the Bowden tube, despite the low friction there. I printed one object at 15% fill (weight 26g). The printing went well, but the resulting object was far too easily squashed. I started to print again at 100% (solid material, weight 70g) but after half an hour the filament escaped the extruder between the feed wheels and the entry to the Bowden tube: it's just not stiff enough to guarantee being fed into the tube. Perhaps it works better with a printer where the extruder is mounted on the print head. It may be that the material is softer before it enters the print head when the room temperature is high, but my room is at only 19°C.

E' da diverso tempo che stampo con TPU Eryone e continuerò ad usarlo. Si incolla bene al piano di vetro, non sbava, non lascia ragnatele, non si delamina, spero solo che lo continuino a vendere perché è ottimo!

S'imprime sans problème et permet d'avoir des pièces translucides
Utilisé sur une Prusa (direct drive) avec un profil de TPU souple, l'impression s'est déroulé sans le moindre problème pour les différentes pièces. Il y a un peu de stringing (classique pour un TPU), j'aurais peut-être pu avoir un meilleur rendu en diminuant la vitesse. La tour de température semble donner les meilleurs résultats vers 195 degrés. Adhésion forte sur le bed. On peut obtenir des pièces translucides avec des parois fines (1 seul périmètre et pas de remplissage pour la pièce devant le stylo Bic rouge). Bref il fonctionne bien !
